@punkdoc I'm glad the court saw reason. I will keep my fingers crossed that the small victory leverages a bigger one and he decides to move. You never know. You're due a bit of good luck, I think.
Good luck for your eye LP. Have you ever tried McTimoney for Talla? I hear very good things about it

@punkdoc best wishes to you both. At least now if he tries any more nonsense you will have ammunition to strike back, but so sad it has had to come to this.
On a lighter note @Dovefromabove I see on Google that Evelyn Dove would have been 117 today so you have a way to go
@punkdoc. Don’t despair about not being able to sell your house, I was in a similar position I told my buyers exactly what the NDN was like and the things she’d done, they bought it anyway. someone on here needed to move for similar reasons, the police were involved several times with her neighbour but her prospective buyers bought it anyway. sone people can handle these neighbour disputes better than others, some can be bigger bullies, but don’t think you won’t sell your house because of this.

I was just thinking ... the Court has made a Ruling ... so presumably there is no longer a legal dispute ... both neighbours just have to comply with the Ruling.
Just a thought .... :-/

Hi all - been slightly awol for a day or three, and not read back much, but glad to see there's been a little bit of progress for you, doc. Horrible situation, but perhaps things will settle a bit now. Maybe he'll realise what he's done, and will move. I know you wouldn't want to leave your home. Lyn - I know who you're talking about, and I'd like to say openly how brilliant you've been with the help you've given the people concerned. It has been hugely appreciated I think you've had enough excitement for a while Pat! That pic is very atmospheric, if you ignore the fire near the bottom What a nice time you've had with the little chicklets, chicky. I'm wondering how quickly you get used to the peace and quiet when they go back Another week done - not many to go now. 2 or 3 depending on just how near the end of January I decide to make it.

@Fairygirl what about making Monday 28th jan the first day of the rest of your life ... it’s an auspicious date and I’d have two reasons to celebrate
My intention was to finish on Friday 25th, Dove, but if needed, I would stay until the following Friday which is the 1st of Feb. Are you angling for a prezzie? 27 again....

Thanks everyone for your support. The problem is, that the court has ruled he must no longer keep sending me bills and threatening letters. They have not ruled on whether he is allowed to claim for maintenance of the drive, and if so what would be a reasonable amount, or on who owns various bits of boundary, which is what is going to take time and lots of money. He has a developing reputation as a very unpleasant man. He has made his money, helping various unpleasant people to avoid their tax bills, and is now a big property owner. A lot of his tenants have been caused problems by all manner of unpleasantness. His step son, who lives with him, is the lad I have mentioned who has a major drug problem. We had lived here for 24 years before he arrived, with 3 previous neighbours and had never had a problem that was not sorted by a quick chat over a suitable beverage.
Thanks again for all your support, I do feel as though some slight progress has been made.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Worst kind of bully, doc - the ones with money You could really do without the stress involved of having to deal with him at all. At least the court saw fit to support you yesterday, so hopefully he'll see he can't just do what he likes with you, the way he possibly does with others.

If he's the one who wants to claim maintenance for the drive then shouldn't it be he who goes to court and pays the bill? He sounds awful, poor you.
It's OH's birthday on the 25th February, so I will think of Fairy! But OH isn't keen on birthdays anymore, says he's older than he feels.
Been a cold and gloomy day outside. I've been cleaning things like ornaments, bit fiddly.
