Oh dear @Hostafan1 :worried:  something he’s eaten or heatstroke?  Wish him well from us.

I can't see it being either to be honest. We've shared most of our food and it's been partly cloudy most days and not too hot. ( less than 30C one day, bbrrrrr )
I've just taken him a cup of tea in bed, so at least he's still alive.

Morning all, sorry to hear about oh Hosta
hi Pat, hope you  ok   I think there are quite a few of us under the weather, I think the January blues kick in also
your birthday sounds perfect Lyn, so does the lovely restruant Chicky went to
    Fairy is the lock working?

i am improving slowly, I try to do a little something worthwhile each day so I don’t feel totally useless. I am beginning to feel a bit low being so restricted and no driving,

So, today it is marmalade making. We do this together, hubby slices the cups. With his actuarial mind each strip of peel is the same width and length. No machines used!!
i have to admit we get masses of compliments and praise for the end result and the house smells gorgeous
Apologies if there still lots of typos, focus is improving tho!

    have a lovely lazy Sunday

Glad you're still improving @Lily Pilly  :)   I used to make marmalade every year, but we don't eat as much as we used to so we have some jars left and also we were given a couple of hampers at Christmas which contained marmalade ... think marmalade making is off the schedule this year ... I envy you the lovely smell :)

Guess what ... someone has been watching me accessing porn :flushed: ...  ;)  and unless I send them a ransom in Bitcoins all sorts of awful things will happen to my computer files   lol  I've sent an alert to my email provider, deleted the email and emptied my Junk folder.

It appears that the old email address of The Lovely Home has been hacked and those of us on their contacts list have been targetted twisted

OH said that everyone is getting these threatening emails ... at work they've been warned the office email may receive them and they should just delete them etc.

Hello everyone.  Glad you had a good day yesterday Lyn and Chicky too.  Great that you're improving LP.  I looked for Seville oranges on Friday but only found blood oranges so at least I can make my blood orange and chili marmalade - when I find some chilies that aren't volcanic Scotch bonnets.

No coughing last night so uninterrupted sleep and woke up feeling almost human - OH too - so we've been cleaning and are now airing beds before changing sheets.  He's been sleeping in Possum's room so we don't disturb each other with our varied coughing schedules.

Hope everyone else's lurgies are clearing up.   Good luck with that lock FG.

'Fess up Dove - you've been a naughty girl  :D
Glad you're imrpvign LP - albeit slowly. Much better than if you were deteriorating.
Lock is fine, but it's a little shorter than the old one so I can't just bung it on. It's all fine though. Bet I find the key to the old one once I've finished it though  ;)
Pot of roast veg soup is on the go. I've added some lentils so it should be ready for lunch. Yum yum.
Hope the lurgies improve Obelixx. oldest daughter came down with something last week, but fortunately didn't give it to anyone else here.
Clearing up a bit here, but I'll not risk the washing as it's to rain again later.  Still gey windy though.
I may go and tidy up a few things outdoors though, in between sanding little bits and painting etc. All the small, 'snagging' type of jobs which get forgotten about.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

It has been really windy here overnight. I thought they were sending all the planes on the way out from East Mid airport, but OH says it was just the wind. I didn't get to sleep until 6 am. I have just woken up. I guess I will want a nap later.
Which Restaurant were you in , Chicky? One of those on Derby Road?
OH used to rent a room in "The Park" when he was a student. It has cellars cut out of the sandstone of Castle Rock.  If you ever go on the caves tour, accessed from The Broadmarsh centre, they show you how they were used for leather tanning, air raid shelters in the war, cess pits dug into the rock, often right next to wells for drinking water dug by the next door neighbour.  Thankfully we now have Severn Trent water for all that.

No Seville oranges here yet either, but the vicar's wife in church this morning bought some in Le Grand Frais in Bergerac so they should be on their way north soon. I will have to wait until we come back from Norfolk. I make quite a lot as I give them to my family in France. We are off on Thursday.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
