It's definitely milder here tonight than it was last night, Dove. Maybe it's just taking a while to reach you over there.

Been cold here too and our birds are doing the same. Too cold for gardening, ground was frozen this morning.

I did a load of ironing sitting in front of the woodburner and the TV and I went for a short walk this afternoon while OH practised his singing. But it's been another quiet day. I should do something useful like spring cleaning. I never have time for that in the spring because of the gardening.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Evening all.
Did my house jobs (bag ready for charity shop) plus a bit of pottering/maintenance outside. Just doing pie and root veg mash for tea now.
    Lovely scene @Lily Pilly

Lovely area for a walk LP.  It's been grey here all day.

Long tailed tits only seem to come to my feeders from spring to autumn.
The woodpecker, however, has been visiting every day this winter rather than not appearing until the spring.

Gorgeous scenery for a walk LP.   It started clear and sunny here too but we had to make a trip to Luçon to drop off Harry for his new timing belt.   Saw a flock of lapwings investigating a newly ploughed field as we turned up the lane towards home.   Very cheery site and a huge heron coming in to land in the field opposite to ice the cake.

Patchwork for me this pm with 2 new techniques then dance class where she had us doing 30 minutes each of jive and Viennese waltz.  Bit of a shock to the system after a week of inactivity with the bugs.  Shattered now.  Clear skies again as we arrived home and a new moon so brilliant display of stars.

I hope things have gone well for you today Pdoc.

BL - I'm turning my mind to house stuff too before the gardening takes over in a couple of months.  Painting to do as well as spring cleaning.

Sweet dreams all.  Off to bed now.
