Thank you for your kind words, Fairygirl it’s what I wanted to do with the place after parents died. It’s my birthday tomorrow, I can actually say I will be 27, oh, hang on, I’ve got that the wrong way round😀. Unlike Lizzies OH, there are times when I feel older than the years.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
If he wants the driveway repaired and it’s on his land and there’s no agreement otherwise then he pays, even if you have a right of way over it.
I was in his position years ago when two neighbours had a right of way along our driveway to get to their front doors. My driveway, no agreement re maintenance expenses therefore I/we paid and never thought anything of it, even though they were responsible for part of he wear and tear.
We knew this when we bought the the place and knew we didn’t have a leg to stand on had we tried to get any money out of the neighbours.
Any judge/ magistrate worth their salt will send him packing with a flea in both his ears if he tries to use his money to browbeat the law ... few will tolerate those who try to buy the law in order to bully others. At least that’s been my and family members’ experience in the past.

Well, m'lovely , you certainly don't look it. Have a lovely day. xx
Glad you've had a result LP Hope you have a lovely birthday Lyn. Plenty of cake is the answer I'd agree with Dove about the driveway, doc. Presumably these things are in black and white when you buy a property. If not, and a buyer doesn't know about it in advance, the solicitor[s] handling the sale should be held accountable. It should be clear in all the documentation that if a driveway is shared, either both parties share the cost, or one does and the other has access, but no financial cost. End of this month for me retiring BL.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

For those who need a cheer in this cold and dark month, here is a sneak preview of Spring to come:
My first bunch of Daffodils 2019.
Thank you, Aunty Rach, lovely. Are they really from your garden so soon?
