@Purplerain Not actually going to post at the moment but thought I would try out "copy and paste" from my emails and it actually worked!! It's just a random photo and I don't know the name of the plant in front of my gooseberries! So there should be no holding me now. Just got to get my daughter to take the photos and I should be able to directly put them on the thread.  :)

That's great news @Fran IOM. If she emails you the photos then we will get to enjoy the allotment. I am looking forward to it and the blue plant in front is a Campanula I think with the frothy one in front of that, Saxifrage.

I agree about the campanula, are the frothy flowers from a heuchera by any chance ?  ;)
I have popcorn ready for the show !

    Good Evening all.
What has happened to my photo?? It came up straight away before but now it is just a square with a question mark and I can't download or whatever you have to do. How do I get to see it and why did it disappear? At least I know I have campanula @Purplerain but I had always been under the impression it was ground covering and @AnniD yes you are quite right it is the flowers from a heuchera! Surprise surprise !
It was quite soul destroying when I went over to the allotment this afternoon. With these strong winds two of my fuchsia hedges had broken free and were flat on the ground. Fortunately near a pathway so not too much damage to anything else apart from the flowers on my heuchera. I had to get my son to come and help as I couldn't lift the hedge it was so heavy but we managed to get them both upright and so far so good.
The wind seems to have dropped at the moment. The hedge really needs to be cut down to make it level with the wall as the wind gets under it with it being about a foot higher.
Just had to cut the flowers off the heuchera and they seem quite happy. My verbena were quite flat as well so tied them up. Apart from that there wasn't time to do anything else.
The cat was just about to play with a bee which had somehow got into the house. It was a bit lazy but I managed to pick it up with a tissue and it flew out the door quite happily.
Don't open the popcorn just yet @AnniD. Did you find the craft thread @Valley Gardener?
Have a good night all. High temperatures tomorrow?

Just having another go to see if this one disappears like the last one.
My Hart's Tongue fern @Valley Gardener (I think). Did yours survive?

I can see it at the moment @Fran IOM. If it disappears again, it might be worth sending a PM to the forum admin to see if they can help.
Very warm here, the outside thermometer shows 34.6 degrees at 12.25pm. Phew!
The washing is dry almost as fast as l hang it out. I am sitting indoors with the curtains drawn at the front of the house and the fan going, all l have done, apart from the washing and a supermarket visit,  is water the pots and hanging baskets.  Nearly fell over Mr B in the process,  l turned around and he was practically under my feet.  I have left some suet pellets and a dish of water in the shade for him and his spuggie friends . No gardening for me today, l plan to work my way through a pile of gardening magazines instead  :)

@AnniD   It's happened again! It only stayed there for two hours! How do I contact Admin? Must be something I am doing wrong.  :(
    PM to Daniel Haynes?

Sorry @Fran IOM, for some reason l'm not getting notifications at the moment, so l've only just seen this.
Yes, try a PM to Daniel , see what he says.

    Good Evening all.
Hope it won't be too long before I can find out what I am doing wrong with the photos. So annoying. Not as hot here as temperatures elsewhere. Probably too hot to do much in the garden. With being out this afternoon I achieved nothing.
Cat was in the allotment but wasn't very hungry and didn't stay long so I feel I don't have to worry about her so much. She seems to have lost weight.
Will have a lot to do with trying to cut down the fuchsia hedge before we have any more strong winds. The bees won't be very happy as they seem to cover it. There seem to have been a lot of weeds appearing and it looks as though the grass will need cutting again soon. It's a week since I last did it.
Hope you have all had a good day. Hopefully a bit cooler for you tomorrow. Must remember to bring in my Hydrangea and clematis.
    Goodnight
