@AnniD.   I tried making it when we lived in Spain.....free lemons! But I had the devil's own job to get it to set,no bottles of Pectin on sale there.
My Spanish neighbour, tasted it,but said it was more like a "Bebida" (drink)  I can't face that rigmarole again!😮
Glad to see you had a little plant spend up,a white Clemmie sounds nice, will it be too late for pics? Or is it a later flowering one?

@Valley Gardener, it's gone over now sadly,  but this what it will hopefully look like

    I like the pink markings.
This is "Vicki",  l still have quite a few flowers on the one l bought. I hadn't realised it is new this year and was launched at Chelsea

Clematis on GW tonight -  230 in one garden ! I have a long way to go.....

    Good Evening again.
@AnniD. That was fascinating listening to the goldfinches. No wonder you knew they were there. You don't half find some links. Knew you wound't be able to resist. Haven't heard from @Purplerain yet as to what she bought if anything. Are you sure you didn't accidentally knock a piece off the clematis? Hope they take well. OH did well with his bargain. You just have to keep him company when he goes back as that Heuchera may still be there. Forgot about GW and on Sunday morning it's set for 6.30am so I shall have to watch it on my laptop.
@Valley Gardener Unfortunately I have no sense of smell so I haven't a clue about my roses. I shall have to ask my daughter if she knows if there is a perfume. Hope you managed to get the garden watered. Couldn't seem to get anything up with those links that @AnniD gave you. Going to be disappointed if tomorrow is a wet day. Still have two hydrangeas and one rose to plant out.
@Purplerain Did you buy anything?? or are you keeping quiet.
    Goodnight all.

Good morning up with the lark today.
Thank you for the links Anni,re the Lemon Marmalade.
The Robertson's and Roses are laden with sugar,so a bit toooo sweet.
However,I haven't heard of the the Tiptree one,a bit pricey, but probably lovely and not overcompensating for the sour lemons.
Anyway for the moment he has Waitrose ones, the last 2, but they kept them at customer service for him. About a 40 minute drive to the nearest store.

The white Clemmie is lovely...very cool and elegant. I will think white next time for a clem.

Thismorning is very dull, but no rain forecast,as I didn't water last night it will have to be done after breakfast.
    Have a good day all.

    Good Morning all.
You certainly were up early @Valley Gardener! Even beaten @AnniD so think she must be having a lie in this morning not that I blame her. Like you the weather is very dull so far but they seem to have changed the forecast to no rain till later this evening so hope they have got it right. OH must be addicted to Lemon Marmalade to take so much trouble to get it. Orange marmalade yes but lemon?
I planted a clematis under the apple tree some time ago in the hope that it would start to climb up and it has now reached the trunk and shows signs of wanting to attach itself so I am keeping an eye on it. No idea now where I bought it. Hope the one I planted out yesterday has survived and all will be revealed later today. (My 5p one!)
I remember recently you were talking about getting rid of a buddleia. I think it was last year that my son planted one in desperation not knowing where to put it (don't know where it came from) but planted it next to the apple tree. He said you know what to do with it if you don't like it but he thought it would be nice entwined in the apple tree. I have never known anything grow so quickly so the secateurs came out and got rid of most of it. When I sat down yesterday to have a look around I noticed something purple very high in the apple tree and had to smile as obviously the Buddleia had flowered and to be honest it looked rather good!  :D

If @Perennial gardener is looking in I noticed that you posted on a thread, which is now closed, about hydrangeas. (Like button- pole results).  If you have realised this ok but otherwise you will need to start a new thread or add to one discussing hydrangeas.

Time is getting on so must make a move.
    Have a good day all.

Good morning all. I thought I would wait till you had posted @Fran IOM just for a change lol. Beautiful roses and hard to pick which one I like best. Sorry you got scratched but at least you can't blame the cat this time. I went to Homebase, but didn't see anything nice. Had there been clematis like the ones @AnniD got, then I would have been tempted.

I did pop into Morrisons and....succumbed. I bought another Achillia,(Cerise Queen) and a white and black bee Delphinium. Then I found a Clematis Niobe and bought that too. I used to have one but something grew in between it (lysimachia I think) and although I was careful when digging that thug out, it died. It's a lovely Clematis.

Glad your OH managed to locate his lemon marmalade @Valley Gardener He must really like it to drive 40 miles to get it. We have rain here too but it looks as if it's clearing up now and that humidity has gone, for the moment anyway.

Will look in later so enjoy your day everyone.

    Good morning all  :)
@Fran IOM, you are quite correct, we had a sleep in until 9am. By the time I had my cup of tea it was gone 9.30 by the time l got up. Mr B was not impressed at all. He was running up to the back door last night while l was trying to cook the dinner ,and would only accept suet pellets thrown to him. When l put a dish of them out and told him to help himself, that was totally inappropriate!
I have spoilt that bird 🙄.
We have rain this morning (hooray), so l think he's off searching for worms etc. now. When it stops raining l will try and get a photo of my buddleia  - trying to deadhead the top flowers is quite difficult!
Look forward to seeing the 5p clematis :)

@Valley Gardener , when you asked about Lemon marmalade,  l'd completely forgotten about "Silver Shred", for some reason l didn't make the connection between it and lemons 🙄. I used to prefer it to "Orange Shred" but hadn't realised that l hadn't seen it for a while. I go around in a dream half the time 😁
I enjoyed most of GW last night, Kiftsgate looked absolutely stunning. I'm ashamed to say that l've never been there. We've visited Hidcote a couple of times, and Kiftsgate is literally across the road from it. It doesn't open until midday though, and we got to Hidcote early to avoid the crowds so left before it opened which l really regret now.
Anyway,  must get on, hope @Purplerain is okay (probably posting as l speak !).
    Have a good Saturday.

Looks like I am first to post on here today - I have managed to get a couple of photos of my buddleias. The big white one was a gift from a neighbour. It was originally from his mother's garden where it had been grown in a pot. He thought it was a "Dwarf" variety, but as you can see, as soon as I put it in the ground, it decided that it wasn't ! Deadheading the top flowers is always fun...

The other one is a lower growing variety, I think it is one of the "Buzz" series. A rescue from the reduced area of the garden centre, this is only it's second year. I do like the colour.
