Heck! Only 10.30 and second lot of washing in, guest bed stripped and remade ready for daughter, and ironing done. I've just had a frustrating 20 minutes, turning out the airing cupboard, looking for beige pillow slips, because it's dark in there I've a nasty feeling I've put them in a charity bag, thinking they were meant to be white! Grrr It was a new set too, only used once.
We have a "drain" in our congregation, bless her,she moans and groans all the time to anyone who'll listen, but now no one wants to sit by her during the refreshments afterwards. Our Vicar went to visit her when she was in hospital, and said...... ".I got a smile out of Jean, or maybe it was wind" he then added that he was only joking! But we all know what she's like.
What a blinkin nuisance having bindweed Anni, the bane of my life is mainly ivy. It gets into the wall, and is strong enough to move the stones.
If the weather cheers up,I have a couple more Hostas to hack down, but it certainly looks dismal here ATM, hence the painting plan. I've started a row of three New Forest Cottages, I did them a while ago in watercolour,I find cottages very soothing to paint.....unlike sea and waves etc.
Hope your M+S Hydrangea behaves itself Fran,at least it will have nice damp soil to be planted in,it will like that.
Did I say Cush didn't mind the ACV? Took it all in his stride, though OH said he smelt like a chip shop!
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
Tea break and Popmaster time . I told OH what l planned to do, he said he'd do it (bless him). I supervised and instructed, so that's all done ! @Valley Gardener, you put me to shame ! I have a laundry basket that's nearly full and a long shopping list. Tomorrow is the day for that,l am fitting in with what OH wants to do. Had to laugh at Cush smelling like a chippy 😁 I pile all the magazines and papers up on the coffee table, sorting through them this morning l came across the bar of chocolate he bought me last week - unexpected bonus ! Mr B has been back in his position by the back door, with a small crowd of sparrows following on behind. Very funny to see.
@Fran IOM your hydrangea will probably have a bit of a shock coming from it's cosy store and wrapping. I think your little (not so little now) bargain clematis could probably do with hardening off for a week or so before planting just to toughen it up a bit - that's what l would do, anyway
@Purplerain, hope the weather picks up for your garden visit tomorrow, such a shame about the family holidaying in the Lakes. It can be very beautiful there, but l have been there when it's grey and wet and the scenery has disappeared. Glad to know the arches are still upright!
Right, time to water the baskets and pots, it is still pretty breezy here, but brighter now. I can hear the planes leaving Fairford after the Air Tattoo, maybe l will catch a glimpse of some. Laters again x
@Valley Gardener Those paintings are beautiful!! I can turn my laptop on its side to see it the right way up so it doesn't matter to me. Are they recent ones? Have you put them on the craft thread? You have been busy this morning. Wish I could say the same for myself. Didn't get a chance to use ACV last night so it will have to be today. Wonder if anyone will comment on the smell. Just let's hope it works. So much cheaper if it does. @AnniD Sounds as though OH has been busy! Hope you didn't tire yourself giving out the instructions. I am hoping the hydrangea recovers. Maybe I should put that out during the day along with my clematis. Enjoy your bonus bar of chocolate. Mine are hidden in the cupboard. Out of sight out of mind. An hour has passed since the above as I had an interruption. The paintings have magically appeared again the right way up thanks to @Purplerain. Which reminds me that there is still no sign of the goldfinches after the sparrows took over. It is well into afternoon now and I have done precisely very little so far. Had better make an effort and catch up later.

Thank you so much, now you see why I like cottages, I think my subconscious wants me to live in one, miles from anywhere!😁😁
