I don't understand going out in snow without wellies, blankets, torch, water, chocolate - just in case.

As for OH - as we progress into retirement and he is around every day and wanting to "manage" things I did perfectly well before, I find he does only learn by getting it wrong.  In Belgium we had a contract that meant they oil company kept an eye on consumption and topped u sup so we never ran out - except the time they got it wrong when we'd had 2 new bedrooms built in the old hayloft.

No such contracts here apparently and we have to be in and pay by cheque when chappy delivers.
I don't think your OH is ever going to be allowed to live down, or forget, the screw up with the heating oil.  Poor chap.
  • Oh yes @Lyn ... those were the day’s 👍

You could even pick one up and turn it 90 degrees so that it was sideways between two other parked cars 🚘 🚙 🚘.  😊 All good harmless fun 😉  :o>:)

KT - I am staying very cool about it until the oil delivery on Tuesday when we'll find out if there's an air lock or not.   Seems he's one of those that only learns from mistakes.

One of these days there'll be a conversation about storing pumpkins..........

Re: young ladies in the North East, there are some photos in the paper today of some proudly upholding that fine tradition. I am also reminded of the tradition of Newcastle United supporters not wearing a shirt while supporting their team. There was one on the telly the other night, unfortunately he was a big lad, shall we say. Never seem to see any with the physique of Christiano Ronaldo.....

The 'Big Newcastle Lads' don't need shirts, they have the same depth of protection as Elephant seal bulls!

You know that dress worn by princess Margaret that they're using to advertise the Dior exhibition. Does it look as if she's thrown up on it or is it just me?

The picture I saw looked cream with orangey - gold glitter. It sort of looked like diced carrots.
