  • Soon be the shortest day and then spring will soon be here :).
We’ll have so much to do in the spring ‘cos there’s a lot of stuff I’ve not done this autumn as I got rather occupied by other stuff.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Good morning.  Grey here but dry so far which will please OH who has gone off to play golf.   I am making chocolate truffles and doing the last bit of patch homeowrk for this pm's class.  Dance class afterwards.

It's called winter Hosta and coming from way up north you should know all about the tilting of the earth and shortening of days.   Have you got your thermals on?   SAD lights?

When we jointly bought our house in Harrow in 83 the mortgage rate was 16% and the payments were equivalent to my entire salary and I earned a more than the average UK salary.  Heaven knows how people manage now to get on the ladder.

Must get on.   Have a warm and cosy day everyone.

    Good morning.
Welcome home Hosta and hubby - it is a particularly rainy and gloomy week here so must be a bit of a shock.
SM delivery today and they didn’t have the gammon shanks I was going to do for tea so I’ll have to think of a plan B now...
    Have a decent day all.

    Oops - Pat's dozed off again.... :D
Supposed to be better this afternoon LP, before the gales tomorrow. It's already brighter and a bit of sun and blue sky too. No chance of being cosy at work I'm afraid, unless I sit right in front of a fire...
Hope the new car is great  :)
I've got some spare ham AuntyR - but really only suitable for putting in soup, and I now have leftover chicken and a pot of chicken stock to deal with, so it'll need to go in the freezer.

I arrived at work to a chorus of " you're not supposed to be in today"
I was right, they were wrong.
I've been delivering all morning in the piss*n rain.
