No need to leave windows open here, plenty of draughts, or natural air conditioning 🤣
the other side of it is the outside walls are 12” thick, so once we heat up it’s fab

We’ve had the bedroom window open the last few nights. My only complaint is that there are little flying insects that can fit through the fly screen and they hover around the iPad screen when I’m trying to read myself to sleep. We heard a Fox last night, just as I was nodding off. Interesting sound.

I really sagged yesterday in the heat, so basically flopped on the sofa most of the day. It really knocks me sideways nowadays. I even had a bit of a sleep while watching Peta Hewitt demonstrating colouring techniques in the new Johanna Basford Book.😁 Dont get me wrong, it wasn’t boring, I just couldn’t keep my eyes open.

We’re expecting 34again today, but it’s overcast, so not so biting hot.

Our news hasn’t mentioned any thing happening in NZ so I have no idea what you are talking about. It sounds worrying by what you all say.

    Night all.

  • Good morning all  :) G’day Pat  :) flopping on the sofa on s hot day sounds sensible to me  :)

They were talking about a young British girl backpacker who was missing in NZ ... her father has flown out there ... sadly a body has been found and a man arrested. Doesn’t bear thinking about ...  :'(

It’s been raining all night here ... it’ll be very soggy out there. Nothing will be done in the garden today.

OH is working today ... he’s requested Coronation chicken salad and jacket potatoes for supper ... the chicken is already cooked so I have a very easy day ahead ... think there will be some knitting done  :)

i finished writing the christmas cards yesterday and I’ll pick up the last little presents when I go into the city on Wednesday ...

    Morning all.
Coal face duties for me today, but I think I'm finishing at 4 so no driving in the dark , hurrah.
It's been blowing one helluva gale pretty much since about 8 last night so driving this morning may be an obstacle course.

  • Take care out there @Hostafan1 :)

A question aimed , perhaps, at the foody folks.
I'm looking for a cheap coconut oil , to  use as a moisturiser .
We used to buy it really cheaply in India . It was , technically , a cooking oil, but it was great to use to stop your skin drying out when sunbathing.

OH used to sell coconut oil at the farm shop. It has some good qualities for the skin but apparently it’s also known to cause blocked pores. I dont buy it for cooking cos I’m not that keen on coconut but a friend uses it for her skin and buys it from Holland & Barrett.

    Hi all.
Grim night here, wet and windy, not a lot of sleep.
Could do with a bit of your weather @Pat E.
I think lard would have the desired effect @Hostafan1
How can you lie there and think of England
