You snuck in there Dove. I can see some pink heading up too. Pretty.
I use Nivea, as fidget recommends. You can get it in nice big jars in the cheapo shop here too. My face is now like a baby's bottom...

    Morning ladies.
No frost here but it does look like we might get some sunshine.
I've not had a good look at the garden since we got back, maybe to day?

I've just taken some pix of the red sky coming through. It's either the sunrise, or East Kilbride's on fire.
A big flock of craws were swirling round as I took them but I don't think I caught them.
    Will look later.
Enjoy your day everyone - whatever the weather  :)

Hopefully there may be a point where I can get into the garden today. It seems to have rained from the minute we got home on Wednesday.
Don't take it personally - it was doing it for some time before you got home on Wednesday, too.

Good morning.   We've had 2 inches of rain i the last couple of days.   Very welcome.   Bright and sunny today wth a few grey streaks but no gardening.  I have a carrot cake to make - with pineapple this time - and then patch and mosaic to go to.    OH is off to golf practice with his new partner as they're on a roll and have so far beaten the top two pairs in the winter cup.

Hosta - having lived for decades with very pure but hard water in Belgium I moisturise all over after every shower.   The water is neutral here but I still do it out of habit, especially after a day out in the sun.   Nothing fancy, just ordinary cheap but effective lotion.    Works for us.

Right then.  New cake recipe to try and, if I get a minute, a quick check on my snowdrops for signs of life.   Have a good day everyone whatever you and the weather are doing.

    Hi all.
Well I have braved Sheffield, in and out in under 3 hours. Bought a few little presents for Moira, she does all the family gifts.
We are having a real tree this year, normally I just cut a large branch from a tree, and hang some lights and baubles from that.
Sorry, I am a dinosaur, no moisturiser has ever been near my skin, although Moira does try to force me.

No moisturiser for my man either, but he will occasionally use a bit of hand cream, he works with cement and can’t wear gloves so his hands get very rough.

All the bird feeders have been cleaned and refillled ... I did them just a few weeks ago but we've not had many birds around and the  food got stale, so that's all been discarded and everything is clean and fresh now the birds are around again.

  • Re coconut moisturiser .... I remember Wonky telling me ages ago that her Lovely Hub's family all use Palmers https://www.superdrug.com/Body-Moisturisers/Body-Lotions/Palmer's-Coconut-Oil-Body-Lotion-400ml/p/729943 and they all have amazing skin.

  • Just did a bit of a catch up sorry to be so behind again but just want to add my appreciation of the great Stanley Baxter. He was a real favourite in our house too, no translation needed here either. (Mother was born in port Glasgow).
