and 2 weeks today I'll be waking up in The Gambia where it'll be lovely and hot and 12 hours of sunshine a day. Hurrah. I've just told Hubby it's forecast to be 31C that day. " Is that all ?????" he exclaimed.
It'll be lovely when we "turn the corner of the year" and it really feels as if Spring is coming. Apparently sunset is already getting later, though I can't say I've noticed any difference yet...
Hope you can hang on for the next fortnight, @Hostafan1. Do you always go back to the same place? My BIL worked in The Gambia for many years, with a UK government aid agency whose name I forget, helping to improve local arable crops. He loved the country, and the people.
There's a researcher coming this morning from Manchester Uni to do some memory tests on me. I'm a "normal" (??) control for a study being done, trying to improve the efficacy of testing for dementia. It could be interesting...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Glutton for punishment Hosta? Pdoc, I hope Moira's feeling a bit better today and gets a new date confirmed soon. Happy brhday Dove's OH and Pat's son. I couldn't eat BF gateau at any time of day.
Very dark and grey here today with a big, black thing lowering overhead. Sorting out, finishing off decorations and putting up more lights for us. Definitely and indoor sort of day tho I do need to go and water stuff in the PT.
Heard on the radio that all the gilets jaunes stantions are being dismantled today which will make fetching Possum a lot easier in Saturday but also that policement are doing a go-slow for better pay and conditions. Win some, lose some.
Hope everyone is safe and warm.

Yeah, for the last couple of years . I know plenty would think it's really dull ,but it's like visiting your favourite Aunty, familiar, and you know where everything is.
You’re very right, Dove. He’s had some bad times over the years, so at 45, he might be getting his life back. In bed now and about to read myself to sleep. Night all.

Many happy returns to Mr Dove and to Pat's son.
