Moira's operation has been cancelled. All elective surgery cancelled for 1st. 2 weeks in January due to bed pressures, no new appointment given. She is not a happy bunny.
So sorry, but not that uncommon when certain governments have a dim view of the service and the people who rely on it.
I do hope she's not suffering too much pain or discomfort and the operation is actually carried out in January.
    Chin up!

So sorry Punk to hear about the delay for Moira.  Was speaking with our doc today and she tells me 60 apps for tomorrow and Friday at our surgery Seems everyone is trying to keep Nora etc out of hospitals to help free up all beds   All non urgent procedures cancelled here too. I suppose the best way to look at it is that you are preventing her from getting something else!

Got the venison today, last of the shopping except for fruit and veg
Did the garland and the last of the indoor decks. Last cards written and posted!
might have a wee libation tonight

Just read back. I thought he looked a lot more frail when interviewed at Chelsea  this year.  How lovely it will be for his family that his legacy will be of beautiful flowers and marvellous scents

Well , it is panto season, Hosta...
You couldn't make it up. Embarrassing doesn't begin to cover it. The whole lot of them are like a bunch of three year olds.
I still have cards to do LP, and I can't be ar*ed.
Dove - has someone got a voodoo doll of you?
Hope you have no more breakdowns - is that the 'three' now?  ;)
Just watching the Scottish news and they're saying something like 100,000 turkeys are thrown away because people buy too much and then it doesn't get eaten. I've said it so many times - people are disgusting.
30th anniversary of Lockerbie approaching. I remember it like it was yesterday. Have we learned anything from it?

@Fairygirl, I remember driving past the site about 3 weeks later. It sent a chill through me.
    Devon.
  • @Fairygirl it’s the sixth breakdown in the last few months ... starting with the washing machine blocked outlet and flooded kitchen. I think that’s enough god now  :/
I’be cancelled my hair appt for tomorrow ‘cos the engineer’s coming. I can’t have another one until the end of Jan ‘cos my hairdresser has a big birthday and is going on safari!
The tree is decorated and presents are wrapped ... just son’s birthday lunch, the deliveries and the turkey and veg to pick up and few bits of general shopping to do and we’re there ...

Oh well - you've had a double amount then, Dove!  ;)
Hope your OH has had a nice day too  :)
I see Pat's son has had a good birthday as well.  :)
I' m not a rose lover at all, but Mr Austin has done so much to promote them, improve them and give many thousands of people a lot of pleasure. That's not a bad legacy.

Evening all. Hope all is well.
Isn’t it great when you make a stew the day before so you have an easy but yummy dinner the next day. Beef stew in a giant Yorkshire here I come😋.
