  • OH's birthday on Wednesday too Fidget ... and Son's on Saturday ... this year I remembered to buy cards and wrapping paper for them back in September ... much later than that and the choice is abysmal 'cos all the space is taken up by Christmas stuff

I've just had a massive cheque with my premium bond winnings.
Now, what can I buy with £25?
    Devon.

I have the same problem with a nephew - his birthday is the day before Valentine's Day. I love him - but  I don't think one of those would be appropriate  :D
Send it to me Hosta and I'll invest it carefully for you  ;)
I couldn't even get half a tank of petrol for that.
It's turned into a right windy, mucky old night after the clear bright start. Ach well - such is life.
As a divertion from r*ddy politics and Brexit, nice that Geraint Thomas won the S.P of the Year. He seems such a lovely modest young man.
Not read back yet, so I'll do that quickly before I think about dinner.

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    How about something slinky @Hostafan1.
    I agree @Fairygirl.
Sunny day here, managed a little gardening, although did get cold very quickly.
A nice bottle of Sipsmith VJOP just arrived by courier, that will come in handy.
Thanks for the message @Dovefromabove, same to you too  :):)
How can you lie there and think of England

He can’t buy a slinky,  he has no stairs,😀  I don’t think slinky other things would come in his size,  on second thoughts maybe they do.  One of these might do, 👘.

I've seen drag queens twice my size in rather fabulous slinky numbers.

As long as he isn't shrimp like - all pink and scaly.... :s
Sorry you missed your event BL. Do you think you're a bit under the weather generally, with all the things you do all year round? You must be knackered. Hope you're better soon. Take it easy  :)
I just saw the news, and, like the young Swedish girl and her climate change speech, there was another youngster putting adults to shame. Her name is Martha Culley, and she's been raising money to make rucksacks for homeless people in Northampton, filled with necessary items when they're sleeping rough. She then took them to the Hope Centre there to be handed out. Bless her - what a credit to her parents. That's the true spirit of Christmas.
I've made a donation - hopefully one or two others here might do the same if they can manage it.
