Another day of tests at the hospital, results not too good, but we plough on.
Moira has a date for surgery, 4th. of January, so we can get Christmas over, which is nice.

  • Sorry your news isn’t great Pdoc, but glad Moira has an early date for her op. It’ll be good to get it over and done with.
Hope First Defence has worked, plumbers have performed and everyone else has had a reasonable day.
OH was ravenous when he got home so we’ve feasted on an early supper of lambs liver, bacon, fried onions, creamy mash and broccoli and now we’ll flollop on the sofa ....

    Evening.
Shattered here and it’s only Monday.
Another tough day for you @punkdoc - zero fun being ‘on other side’.
OH just said he is starving so I had to ‘fess up that I had a chip butty for lunch so still full! Double-carbs = so naughty!
    Have a pleasant evening all.

Sorry your tests didn't go better Pdoc but at least you can enjoy Xmas and NY knowing Moira will be fixed soon, all being well, and plenty of time to hibernate and recover before you need help with cannas.

It's been a lovely sunny day here so clear skies and chilly bits tonight.   Patchwork was enjoyable as was mosaic class.   Good people which always helps.   Home with no further gilets jaunes problems, thank goodness.

Pork and apple burgers for dinner with barley instead of buns and home grown broccoli.  Very tasty and no caterpillars!

Liri - for some reason your pics take forever to load on here but just a jiffy on the jigsaw site.  Thanks for that link.  I might even have time to do some jigswas after Xmas......  So much patchwork homework and a wool crepe frock to make by Friday too.......

    Hi there
sorry you have had a rotten a rotten day Punk, glad tho you had your wee jaunt north and ate and drank all you liked. Hope there are no limitations over the festive season tho I guess Moira will need to be careful. All best wishes to her.
Obelixx pork and Apple burgers sound delicious , Aunty you had a wee treat today too!
Dove yours all sounded lovely without the liver!
liri I can’t find your photos!
domestic day here.  Aga engineer booked so was switched off last night which means I have to clean it before he arrives around 11. Job done, now I don’t want to cook on it!
various drawers tidied and masses of laundry done which means it all needs to be ironed!
Hosta and hubby hope you having no more bother with your fellow guests.

our road is closed terribly hard for the village. And no compensation.  We so badly need  to keep our garage where we can buy amazing things from fuse wire and scrubbing brushes to organic milk from a local farmer which tastes divine

    - but I think the problem with the photo threads is that there are so many photos per page that people with slow broadband can't get them to load, although the individual photos are smallish.  There seems to be a limit to the number of posts per page, but not to the number of photos.  Maybe I should have posted one photo at a time, because that would limit the length of the page...

Feeling devastated..........was told by consultant today that my partner of 11 years has a few months to live......I had to phone his 2 brothers and 4 sisters in England and also spoke with his 2 daughters and son to tell them the awful news  :'(

What a dreadful time for you Mary. ((Hugs)) from me.

Glad Moira has a date for her op Pdoc.  Sorry your news was not better 🙁

Cold is still lurking here, but yet to make a full appearance ....maybe that stuff is working. Off on a work trip to the land of Trump tomorrow, so I will only be popping in sporadically, and at odd times, for the next week.  Be good whilst I’m gone ........
