Not bad Chicky, but a but breathless and tired today. Dony know why.
Spent the afternoon with the Ukelele group, but I was a bit useless, I think.

Morning all/afties Pat - hope you're feeling better soon. Get some strumming done  ;)
Lovely post from fidget. A celebrity worthy of the name - unlike some others I could think of. How lovely  :)
Is she doing signed photos yet?  :D
Liri-  your pix are stunning as ever. Beautifully composed. I haven't had time to properly look at the whole lot on the camera thread,  as the page is slow in loading, so I'll do that later.
doc - I wondered where you were the last couple of days. Nearly the end of the year and then it'll start getting brighter  ;)
chicky  - I've  never found that [ist defence] works although my sister swears by it. My cold is dragging on - hope yours doesn't. I'm single handedly keeping Kleenex in business....
Looks like a day like yesterday - frost, now cloud, and maybe frost again as the light comes in. At least it's dry  :)
Better shift and get to work. How soon can I retire again?  :/
    Have a good day all....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Morning. Trying to post by phone as forgot to charge iPad last night. These things keep happening. Is this old age?
chicky go easy on the first defence if you haven’t used it before. Dont sniff too har😵
Fairy I thought Fisgets post lovely as well. Did anyone read in the paper yesterday that care homes are to encourage more physical interaction between residents?

It very cold here today. I seem to be keeping bugs at bay so far! G kids due on the 13 guess it will all change then
Help coming for the garden. Phew!
Doc head down sooner done sooner you out! Good luck

Morning all. Thanks Pat for the botanical name for Lilly Pilly . No, not a new series - it's 10 years old. Monty looks a lot younger! I had just never seen it before but have recorded the whole series and am very slowly watching it - just the odd half hour here and there.

And now I can't remember what else I was going to say! Hope all are well and finding some light in the dingy weather.

Busy with siblings later so need to get an hour or so out in the garden as the forecast for the rest of the week is dire.

  • Hello all :)  Sounds like a great birthday bash Fidget :)
Pdoc ... this grey weather is enough to get anyone feeling a bit low ... soon be spring.  Good luck with the appointment :)
Must get on with stuff ... a bit of food shopping to do and then puddings to steam ...

Good morning everyone.   Possum has now left with her St Nicolas present wrapped and ready for the 6th of December and a selection of savoury muffins and sweet cup cakes to keep her going all day.   She'll be home for Xmas starting with lucnh and Xmas market in Nantes after we collect her from the airport.

I hope you've enjoyed your weekend with Chicklet Chicky.   God luck with the cold.  OH is snuffling and sneezing today and has instructions to keep it to himself.

Pdoc - chin up.   You know you need monitoring so grin and bear it and hope for the best.  Only sensible thing to do.  How's Moira?

And now I've forgotten what else I was going to say about all your activities.

Must go and get everything prepped for patchwork and mosaic this afternoon.

  • Morning all.  Bit brighter today... the weather, I mean...

Your house will smell amazing, Dove... the aroma of steaming Christmas puds is almost better than eating them.   :)

Best wishes for the appointment, Punkdoc!

LG, there's a photo I've posted on the camera thread which reminds me of one you took, at Kew, I think.  It's a Monstera deliciosa trunk.

Hope the cold finally relaxes its grip, Fairy.  OH has almost stopped coughing, a good 3 weeks since his throat infection started.  Best wishes to others suffering... Chicky in particular...

We're waiting on tenterhooks here, to see if the boiler engineer turns up this afternoon to sort out our hot water.  I hate cold showers!   :#
