Good morning everyone.   Bright, sunny and freezing here.  -4C overnight and everything is still frosted.  All very well but I still have bulbs to plant today.

I shall just have to spend my morning doing h****work and hope it's thawed this pm.

Fingers crossed LP.  Enjoy your lunch.   Pat, I hope you get a good storm with some decent rain.   Hope you have a peaceful day at work WW and FG.

  • Morning all wish me luck- New BT router finally arrived today in fact I now have 2 of them! It's been a long saga I wasted days staying in because I had messages since last week that Royal Mail  they were going to deliver anytime between 7am & 6 pm. Now I have got to set one up and get everything to connect before I can get back on line see you all sometime :#

Good luck AB. I know the feeling. Won't it be great when someone invents a way that Internet just arrives without the need of a router!

We were to go to lunch with the garden club secretary as she was hosting a Moroccan meal in aid of McMillan nurses, but she isn't well. Instead we went to a local restaurant with several friends including the nice couple I went to Brive hospital with. The restaurant is in a village where a couple of friends live. They had told me that it changed hands recently and is now very good, which it was, good meal, good chat.

Glad it's all going well LP.  Mainly dry here today, and got to 5 degrees, but there was a cold wind and a few sleety showers. Would much rather have Obelixx's minus 4 and a nice frost.  :)
Hope AB gets his t'interweb set up ok. Isn't it infuriating when they say they'll deliver [and it's an 'all day' slot >:) ] and you spend all day hanging around? Then they appear at half past 6 .... :/
Could have been worse. The DPD driver here left my box of bulbs under the back of my car, and p*ssed off. The instructions were to leave by the back door if no one was in. We were in, but he didn't bother coming to the front door. He couldn't get in the back gate, as the bottom latch was on, so shoved them under my car. Brillant eh? He did it again a few days later, but I was in the garden and heard the rattle so I went out. I told him he should have gone to the front door, but it was like talking Klingon. Numptie.

    Evening all, night Pat,
Was just busy enough at work thanks Obelixx 😊 hope it thawed and you were able to get your bulbs in. I've planted up a few planters with bulbs but I've not really had time to do much.
BusyL, sounds like a nice day, hope your friend gets better soon.
Best of luck with the internet Allotmentboy, hope your back with us soon!
Fairy the trouble we have with courier companies at work is horrendous! Your bulb story does not surprise me!
Hope Hosta and OH are having a lovely holiday! Just read back and saw amazing sunset pictures, beautiful!
Back from work, rosemary chicken and dauphinoise potatoes in oven cauliflower and white sauce to do, sat down with a will earned larger!
Hope everyone has a nice evening and stays warm!
  • Enjoy your evening  @WonkyWomble and everyone.  :)

Evening - hope all is well.
Some delivery people have bizarre methods. I had a parcel left under my up-turned mop bucket once.
Freezing here - which has reminded me I need to do a ‘Winter’ shop to stock cupboards and freezer soon - might just order and get delivered on weekend. My patio potted plants are already snuggled up on the back porch but luckily I spotted my Jade in amongst those so it is indoors for Winter now, along with my Lemon Verbena.

    Hi all.
    Back home.
Horrible journey, although was snowing over Glenshee, so that was nice.
Glorious weather over weekend, so managed a lovely walk in Glen Tanar.
Gleneagles was wonderful, a beautiful hotel, lovely roaring fires, wonderful friendly staff, and a magnificent dinner, pure luxury.
They even remembered that our original booking in May, had been for my birthday, so I had a cake in the room, and we got a free room upgrade.
    Hope all are well.
