My daughter recently had a burn on her foot, went to strain greens and the handle broke on the saucepan, she kept it cold, as you do, but it wasn’t getting any better, she went to her local A & E and the nurse got a huge jar of Vaseline and dolloped  a big handful on the burn, then the big dressing, she said it would stop the skin tightening and would heal quicker.
It worked really well, she knows what to do in future.

    Evening all.
Liri - very sad news. I am pleased to hear that she was comfortable and well looked after. I think being there to say goodbye and spend that time with her is very special, and I hope that will give you some comfort. Hope you are doing ok.

    Those poor teddies!

  • Thanks again for all your kind comments, everyone.  Much appreciated.
Now I'm trying to write the eulogy for the funeral...   :/  ...not that there aren't a lot of lovely things to say, but I'm finding it hard to marshall my thoughts...

Good evening all.  Been out all day so belated but huge hugs to Liri.  So pleased you could be with her as that must have been a comfort to her and will be for you too.

Started my day with a flu jab.  Took a paracetamol beforehand and it's only just started feeling tender.  Then we headed off to a mosaic shop which is closing down soon.  Utterly discumbobulated by the choice so just got what I need for a splash back in the scullery and my next project.   Next was lunch in Nantes and then Créativa which turned out to be a complete waste of time.   Expected lots of goodies for crafting and a wide range of Xmas fabrics but no.  Left Nantes via the Asian SM so we are now well stocked with goodies and then headed home.

Doggies were so pleased to see us that Rasta celerated by rushing out and rolling in unspeakable smellies so has had a bath.

Pat - I hope those fires don't grow too big and also stay well clear of you.

Chicky - happy birhday and have a great weekend with you chicklets.

Can't remember what else is going on, sorry, so have a good evening all and a great weekend.
