Morning all/afties Pat if you're there.
The nice day of yesterday has reverted to the usual rain. Would you like some Obelixx? Not cold though, as you say flumpy, it's about 9 degrees and murky.
    Safe trip Dove  :)
Grand pumpkin chicky. Glad you had a good time with the chicklets  :)
It's a decent enough little camera Obs - and suits me well enough. You need to buy a memory card for it - that doesn't come with it. I was quite surprised they were that inexpensive - I thought these cameras would be hundreds.
Better shift - that ribbon doesn't attach itself. Have a good day everyone, whatever the weather.

@flumpy1 it has defiantly got milder again the temperature here did not get below 11° all night two good things  can still get into the garden and saving on heating fuel.

Busy morning so will try and catch up later.

    Morning all.
Hopefully, to day will be the day the last of the dahlias get lifted, if my sore knee allows  :'(
I was getting into the van yesterday, put my foot on the bottom "shelf"  and as I went to other foot into the cab, my foot slipped on the muddy wet step and I dropped back down to the road, jarring my knee.

Ouch!  Our dahlias are still flowering but have mildew because it's been so dry.  They're in the veg patch so have been watered but next year I'll give them their own bed with extra compost and a bark mulch.

    Morning all.

    Been absent a few days.

We are now in Norfolk. The cottage was very cold last night so we put the heating on high and went to a pub for dinner. It was quiz night but we were too late to join in. I didn't know many answers anyway, sport and TV aren't my thing. We didn't hire a car this time as OH has a car here. Took the train, changed at Ely then took a taxi. It took longer but it was nice not to have to drive on the Motorway and A11 in the dark.

Going to Dunelm to buy curtain lining and rufflette.
    Fireworks tonight in next village.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Hi all.
I shall be digging up the last of the Dahlias today, as well Hosta.
Also hoping the tree surgeon will turn up, to give me a quote for some rather expensive work I need doing on the Beech trees. He is a lovely bloke, and a good tree surgeon, but reliability is not his strong point.

Like our shower room builder then Doc?  Doesn't know what a planner or diary is for.

Busy - thought it was Tuesday you were going.   Have a lovely time making the new cottage your own.  Just curtains or other projects too?

Just had our CH serviced and an essential part cracked as he re-fitted it.   Fuel leak followed so very smelly but fortuntaley outside in the annex so we can leave the door open to air it.   Now we have to wait for a spare part to be fitted.  Good job we have heat exchangers and hot water with the PVs and a log burner if it gets really cold.

@Busy-Lizzie, have you been able to catch up on Killing Eve?

Hosta  - I watched the last episode on Saturday and was a bit disappointed. I felt it lost the plot completely. Not sure exactly what I was expecting, but I didn't feel it was very plausible at all.  :(
You often wonder how any of these work/tradesmen stay in business, don't you?
Hope you have time to enjoy being here BL, and you aren't spending all your time 'making do and mending' ;)
Still very overcast and dull here, but not too cold. Rain has stayed away too after the overnight stuff.
