    Ouch! @Lily Pilly.
Sorry I have no idea, but if your leg was hanging off, I might be able to help.
Hope you get back safely and had a wonderful time.

  • Aww that would've been nice @punkdoc :) ... but we were on our way back from a funeral and dropping MIL off so she could then join her coach party heading for a holiday in a Welsh castle so we weren't sure of our schedule .... I'll make sure and let you know next time :D

The blister packs arent long enough but I shall improvise. Just hope it isn’t too cold when get home late tomorrow night if I have to wear flip flops

Not quite sure what’s been going on re houses etc but this is a friendly chatter site which I for one appreciate all the chums I have made through.

off for a last night of gluttony. It will all stop tomorrow

@Lily Pilly, here's @fidgetbones post about Compeed etc:
ask at the chemist for large Hydrogel dressings. Small ones come under the brand name Compeed blister plasters. They are thick jelly like plasters that you put on and leave on until they start to come off on their own. The new skin wet granulates under it. A bit technical, but far superior if quite expensive, to normal dressings for burns and blisters. When we were last in the tropics, hubby gashed his ankle. With that type of dressing, he could carry on diving. Expensive dressing, but saved the holiday. You would want a 10cm Granuflex dressing for heavy exudate, or Duoderm for light exudate. They seal all the way round, and stay put for up to a week.  The pharmacy can order them for next day delivery if they don't have any in.

@Lily Pilly    I would do as OH is telling you ... it's good for them to feel they have a little bit of power, even if only in small matters ;)

I've just spent a jolly afternoon sorting out quotes for car insurance ... would you believe that my current insuraer's renewal quote was more than my car is probably worth .... and going just Third Party reduced it by little more than a tenner ...  I have beaten them over the head with facts, figures, statistics and a yard broom and they've reduced it by one third!!! o:)B)
