"ridiculous mess" is exactly what Mrs Mayhem has made of it.
She's united everyone, leave or remain, in thinking she's made a total hash of it.

I defy anyone to make a coherent success of it.   The referendum was called by a weak man to save his party from losing members to UKIP.  Classic scenario for boasters and bullies and liars and power seekers and even dreamers to get excited and fabricate nonesense to suit their position.

No politician, on either side, took the trouble or the time to think about presenting facts, discussing consequences or working out in advance what the UK would want from a divorce, let alone what they thought the EU would let them have.  Sadly, nor did the press, not even the ones you can usually rely on to seek out news, stories, underhand goings on and inform their readership.

Brexit is a first for the EU too and they, at least, have a united front which has been impressive across 27 nations.   They can and should be expected to defend their project and the economies of their members.   Nobody in the UK should be surprised or offended by that.

Thereesa May is in an impossible position and it looks like no-one in British politics is willing to put helping her and the UK befroe their own personal agenda.   Shame on the lot of them.

    Looks good, Chicky.

When all the family comes, 21 including 2 babies this year, my turn, we don't have Christmas pudding, not enough of us like it. We have chocolate mousse. Trifle on Boxing Day, no cake either.

Hear hear from me too Obelixx.

I would like to see Funny Girl, I like Sheridan Smith, good actress. Must look up the local cinema.

Today was a bit of a nightmare. They have been using an angle grinder to cut the breeze block out of the wall for the window enlargement. It's in a wide passage down the side of the sitting room, separated by a half wall with beams. We hung a tarpaulin because of dust and draughts and shut all possible doors, like the one into the kitchen. There was fine dust everywhere , went into the kitchen too. It meant cleaning everything - twice. Felt horrid in my hair. We escaped to the pub for a snack and a drink.

Bizzie Lizzi, I feel for you, it’s horrible when you get building dust in your hair, I’ve been there too, it will be worth it tho 🙂

I find building dust gets everywhere and is still falling days later no matter what you do to limit it's spread.   However, it's worth it when it's all over and the final clean up and decorating are all done and you have the extra space/light/acces you wanted.

Possum insisted on a Yule log last year so I made one.  Never again.  Total faff and I really dislike Genoese sponge.   Sticky toffee pudding will do very nicely thank you or a chocolate fondant or even just ice cream with a hot chocolate sauce.  Haven't thought about it yet.

Is this the same Funny Girl as Barbara Streisand or something else?
