Our local supplier took my IKEA plans, made one small adjustment related to their range of cupboards and then came and checked the measurements. 1mm difference. Cupboards were then built to order and fitted by their chap including leccy and plumbing in sink and dishwasher. The only other chaps were the ones who supplied and fitted the ceramic worktop and splashback. No surprise fees. It will last us "forever".
We took out the old kitchenourselves and cleaned, primed and painted the walls and thus managed to recycle some of the old cupboards into the annex - full of cake baking tins and home-made preserves now.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Thank you for the advice, AuntyRach and Obelixx. I will get a few estimates for fitting.
Chicky, there is a garden on 3 sides, 3 small lawns, a small box hedge, several shrubs and climbing roses, a lot is quite shady. There is scope to do more.
Grey and windy here at the moment, it has rained.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
It's official. Cosmos pussy is soft in the head. We called him in as it started to rain last night but no sign. Not around this morning either so huge search of garden and sheds and ruin and PT. Finally found him in my fabrics cupboard where he'd climbed up to the top shelf and curled up, knocking piles of fabric off as he went.
Not a squeak to say he was in there so we need to teach him to sing like Harriet the donkey since he doesn't meow like normal pussies.
Now to sort out the entire stock and check for "messes".

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
