Hosta, it wasn't Killing Eve I wanted to watch, it was Black Earthrising. At the moment the router is too far from the TV so we haven't got Catch Up set up. OH will deal with it.

That beech wood sounds lovely, Obelixx. There is one near Saint Quentin in the North of France which has bluebells and wild daffodils and other wild flowers. My daughter No 2 used to live near there.

We went to a local village fireworks and bonfire tonight, it was gorgeous. I hope the local dogs were OK though.

Also meant to say  that we spent a good part of the day going to Norwich. Went to Dunelm, bought lampshades for the bedrooms, lining and rufflette for the dining room curtains and new long curtains for the sitting room French windows. Also went to B & Q and bought a white bathroom cupboard. A wardrobe is being delivered tomorrow and a kitchen designer is coming from Wickes to see if we can do something, not too pricey, to improve the kitchen.

Sounds like your new cottage is getting ship shape Lizzie 😆

Hope Dove made it safely up to the North West.

yippee for rain ☔️ Pat 😀

Chicklets both safely back to Uni now.  Was such a treat to have them here for the weekend.  Both are doing well - although appreciated a warm house with a well stocked fridge 😉

Everything looking very pretty and autumny 🍂 outside at the moment - some of our acers have gone a vivid shade of red that stops you in your tracks as you come down the drive ❤️

    Morning all/afties Pat.Glad you've had a bit of rain.We're glad it's been off for a while.  :D
There's been some glorious autumn acers here too chicky. Colour has been stunning.
Glad you're getting the cottage more homely BL.
I appreciate  they'll want another series of K.E.,but it just seemed  clumsy, and simply unbelievable.  :/
Glad they've arrested those disgusting morons, re Grenfell. Words fail me as to how some humans can sink so low.
On a brighter note, I caught a nice blackbird on the camera yesterday, eating all the dropped food,so that's good they're coming back in. Cheeky little dunnock had a good look at the camera, on video,  too.  :)
Better go and get ready for t'mines. Catch you all later, driving lessons permitting  ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Morning all.
Sorry @Busy-Lizzie, I forgot it was BER you were waiting to see. I loved it, but then again , I loved Killing Eve. Maybe I'm weird but I didn't think it had to be believable to be enjoyable. James Bond and Harry Potter and Star Wars are the  most successful film franchises of all time but none are " believable " . Hey ho. I can't wait for the next series.

Hopefully I'll get the tulips planted to day. I've decided that hedychiums are a waste of time here. After the long, hot, sunny summer we had, I've not had a single flower on any of them. If I've time, they're getting dug up too before we go on holiday.

Why not?  Paper is great but, no doubt, someone will come up with stats about huge production costs to make it.

It's cold here.  Our forecast says it's raining but the radar shows it's just dipping around below and all along the coast south of us and down to Spain.

Good that you've had some rain Pat.  Not enough but a start.
