Lovely surprise this afternoon.  OH had told me he'd be late back from golf as he had to go to La Roche to pick up a package.   That turned out to be Possum who's spent all day on trains form Namur to get home for my birthday tomorrow.   Lovely.

We all went to dance class.   Paso and rumba so a bit less aerobic than last week.   Armel brought assorted fizz and cider and juice to elebrate her official retirement - been on "holiday" for 3 months and they loved the Parmesan biscuits and the coconut chai traybake.  Recipes please......

Hosta - too late but I hope you got back safely.  No more adventures like last time please.

FG - that's an eery looking sky.    Ours is clear and the full moon is masking the Milky Way so we oly get to see the very bright stars.   Lovely tho chily.

LP - I used to cut back perennials that didn't have good seedheads or whose stems broke easily in the winds but I'd leave stuff like phlomis russeliana and echinops until spring.    If you're mulching, it's a lot easier if you've cut it all down.

Hope Moira’s surgery is imminent and successful Pdoc

I was looking at my photo of the rainbow just now and had a flash back. Those trees on the right are Eucalyptus nitens (Shining Gum), and when I planted them they were only a few inches high.😳 How time flies. The reason I planted them there was that there was the beginning of an erosion gully below that area, so I planted them to keep the site stable. It certainly worked.

Regarding Hubby’s cooking, he is an avid watcher of the various cooking shows on TV and loves trying out new ideas. It’s not always good for my waist line nor my efforts to keep off sugar. 😛🤬

Good morning.   Cloudy for once and I may get some rain.  Fingers crossed.

Same for you and son's new car Dove.  Reliable wheels are so imortant.

Chicky - have a lovely weekend with Chicklet.  Which film?

LP and Pat - I really like eucalptus foliage and bark but they can get so big.  Maybe I should try and find one with smaller ambitions.   Hope all is well with hubby's appointment Pat and you and Talla have a good visit LP.

Now to go and see if Possum can achive a vertical.  Lazy madam's still in bed!
