Gorgeous blossom Pat - great to see the variation from one batch/apple of seeds.

Great photo LilyP - love autumn colour 🍂🍁

So pleased you had a good day out Pdoc - quite a thrill to be somewhere so iconic.  Sounds like the company was (mostly) good too 😃

Not watching Autumnwatch AuntyRach - normally one of my favourite programmes, but I love it because it teaches me about the wildlife thats right here under my nose 🙄.  My nose doesn’t get to New England very often 😜

Yesterday’s “thing” went well = even got a thankyou 😇.  One more day ....

Escaped yesterday evening for a couple of hours to hear the great Rosy Hardy talk.  She is such an inspiration 🌸🌼🌻.   Must get myself to Freefolk soon

Well done with your project Chicky. Make you feel like it was worth the effort.

Good evening, Pat. Do your varied crab apples have different colour  crabapples on as well, or is it just the foliage that varies?
I have not watched autumnwatch. I probably should, because new England in the fall is on my bucket list, but part of me thinks I ought to go to some British arboretums around now. Bluebell arboretum is not far from here. Bodnant was just starting to colour up, last week in North Wales.

    Good morning all  :)

Whst a lovely avenue of blossom @Pat E. You should be very pleased and proud of growing them  :)

@chicky I felt/feel the same about taking Autumnwatch abroad ...
I’m enjoying what they’re showing us and the ‘message’ is as I thought ... ie ‘Look how much more wildlife there is when you have more trees’  so it is relevant ... lots of numerical comparisons are being made.   It is well worth watching. However I’d like to see a week here in the U K too ... im greedy  for more wildlife programmes  :)

    Morning all.
I gave up on Autumnwatch too. I think there's more than enough interest here to keep us entertained.
The tree guys woke me this morning at 7.55 with yet another delivery.  :dizzy:
I'm getting kinda used to these nights of 8/9,even 10 hours sleep. :D

    Morning everyone.
Re the crab apple trees, this is first year they have flowered for me, so I hope I beat the parrots to the fruit ( if any). Also, We’re just as likely to have more late frosts which will finish off any fruit I assume.  Hopeless climate lately. It used to be better.

    Hi all.
    Fascinated by your "project" Chicky.
The bit that really thrilled me yesterday, was walking up the stairs, with the walls covered in pictures of previous PM's.
Have to say, I am really enjoying Autumnwatch, maybe I don't have as much time to get irritated by the presenters, because I am studying the unfamiliar animals.
Was lucky enough to spend 3 months working in California, so some of the stuff is familiar, and lovely to see again after 30 years.
Really pleased you are starting to sleep properly @Hostafan1, would love to know why.

Good morning @punkdoc ... think Hosta’s cut back on his caffeine intake with good effect.

Those portraits should instil a real sense of history ... such a shame so few leading politicians seem to learn nothing from  the past ... or at least they seem to misunderstand and keep repeating former mistakes  :/

I have a caffeine curfew of 11am. It took about 3 months or maybe more but it's finally kicked in.

    Sounds a fun lunch, punkdoc.

    Internet went yet again yesterday.

We are going to the SM this morning, then we'll lunch at the Wok place. Need to buy stuff to make finger foods for tomorrow's quiz in aid to the flood victims in Indonesia.

Planted the violets and violas in the pots around the front of the house yesterday. Will do the back, garden side today.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
