Just met a very nice tree surgeon, who knocked on the door, having read the notice on my Beech tree.
He had been told I was happy for the branch that goes over the drive, to be removed.
I explained I was not, and he agreed that the branch could not be accessed without climbing the tree.
    He has gone.
If you read that a man has been arrested in Sheffield for murder, you will know who it is.

Hosier in the singular, doc - as opposed to the Hoosiers  ;)
What is your neighbour trying to achieve exactly? Is he just a bampot ? Sounds like he likes the last word.... :/
BL - beautiful pic. It's avery famous garden. I haven't been there, but would like to go back to Italy again one day to do more exploring.  :)
I'm not commenting on the 'wedding' except to say - how did Robbie Williams' daughter get shoehorned into the proceedings? Are they chummy? Doesn't really surprise me when I think about it.  :D
Nice and calm today on the whole thankfully. Heavy showers but not too chilly.
LP - think your BIL would be better just going the Crianlarich/Tyndrum route no matter what. There's going to be more disruption at the weekend if the forecast's right. They'll just be getting the road debris cleared, and some stuff removed from the netting [how, I don't know] and they'll be getting more. Old road might be open and ok by then though. Not sure why they didn't just enlarge the old road instead of doing a new one.  Must have been a reason.  :|
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I do have huge respect for the Queen, who works at that age, humm 9th in line to the throne, dont expect I am the only one praying for the safety of the previous 8!

Monarch and next 4 in line. That's enough.
The rest can pay their own way,get a job and  buy/rent their own homes like the rest of us do.
If someone wants them to open a fete/factory /bridge or whatever,  pay them.
I accept the benefits of tourism etc etc, but Eugenie? really? I wonder how many tourists even know who she is any more than we know who's 9th in line to the throne of any countries we visit .

Princess Eugenie works for her living. She got a degree in History of Art and English at Newcastle University. She has worked in New York and for the last 3 years she has worked  in London for the Hauser & Wirth art gallery. I didn't just mean foreign tourists, I meant UK people who will go and stay around Windsor for the wedding.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
