Good morning all A quiet overcast morning here in Norfolk, branches moving occasionally in a light breeze and two fat wood pigeons are waking up on the roof across the rise.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning early birds/afties Pat. Glad you had a good day. There's always a bit of debate here about the clocks. Parts of Scotland would still be dark in mid to late morning if they didn't change. We might get longer days through summer than the south, but we get shorter days in winter. Swings and roundabouts. GWRS - you might also enjoy that prog I was talking about to Hosta. It's fascinating, and the guys that build the houses are brilliant. They take it all in their stride. I went off G.Designs a bit, as I was finding Mr McC. a bit OTT. Admire the the folk doing it though. chicky - at least the chicklets are keeping you busy and off the streets. Can't have you being idle.... Chilly and dry here. About 4 or 5 just now, but hopefully will stay dry.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I know there's only a given amount of daylight per day, I just wish it suited the majority of the population. When the clocks change at the end of the month it'll be light at about 6am, when many folk are still asleep so don't get any benefit, but it'll be dark an hour early so everyone has to use more electricity to light their homes. Why do the clocks go back at the end of October , less than 2 months until the shortest day, but we have to wait until the end of March, 3 months after the shortest day for them to change back?
The whole clock thing can be a real nuisance at times unfortunately its the times we live in long gone are the days when we got up when it got light and went to bed when it got dark. Although now retired I tend to do this more especially the early mornings walking on the beach all through the year.
If only they had not invented the clock

Hubby said out clocks go forward tonight. Sigh! I wish they’d stop doing it.
