I used to make bread when we lived in Harrow.  Loath factory bread and the great white sliced and no decent local baker near us and SM offerings were atrocious.  Stopped when we moved to Belgium because it's full of local bakers who make stuff fresh every day but then had to stop eating bread because their patisserie and Viennoiseries were just too tempting and ours was famous for his handmade chocolates.....

Bad night last night - new itchy bits and snoring OH - so, of course, we had lumbers arrive at 8am without any warning.  Missing an email somewhere but, touch wood, we should have plumbing in the shower room by end of play tomorrow.

Another dry and sunny day here but chilly.  Oh is watching The Apprentice which I hate so I'm off to sew.  He's supposed to clear two veggie beds for me so I can plant my garlic and onions tomorrow while he's playing golf.  Very pleased with himself after yesterday's match.  He's been having lessons and yesterday he won best net score - champagne and a jumper - and his handicap is now the lowest it's ever been.   Happy OH.

All the talk of bread-making has reminded me of an experience of my Melbourne friends. They bought a bread-making machine. They’d put the dough in the machine when they were going to bed, set it to prove at a certain time, and then to bake at another time so that they would wake in the morning to the smell of freshly baked bread. 🤪

Anyway, they got quite good at making different types of bread and this went on for ages. They ended up gaining so much weight, that in the end they had to stop. 😂😂😂😂

I suspect they don’t have the machine any more. I must ask them when they arrive on 2 November for a holiday.

@Fairygirl British Gas think we are. Holsworthy has over 10,000 inhabitants and nobody has mains gas. Nearest is Bude; 10 miles away!

That looks more like a Fox than a cat to me, but maybe your cats have pointier ears and nose.😳😳. Of course, I’m not influenced by my love of cats.🙄

     :D
British Gas are ludicrous beyond belief Hosta. It's like the recycling - when we lived in Uplawmoor, which is a smallish hamlet, we were nearer the main road than many of the people in Up'moor itself. They had recycling but we didn't. I often wonder who's in charge of the decisions  - have they never looked at a map?
That smirr is back on - after I've put the washing out of course. What's that about?  :/
At least the wind's got back up, so I ain't hoiking it all back in...

FG - new keyboard not as sensitive as the old so misses letters and OH has lost my spell check in transition.   One for the grump thread I think.  Can't make out anything much on your pic.  Maybe I'll just move back to the dodgy PC with the decent screen and speakers and a proper keyboard.........

Good to have a visit to look forward to Pat.

    We can't imagine why...... :D
Sorry Obs - little foxy on the very right hand side. I was faffing around in the dark when I set it up there, and I couldn't really change the angle as it's on a gatepost. I had a better video of it.
Sorry  Pat - I didn't see your post. I probably didn't make my text clear - the cat was the night before. Mr Reynard last night
