Lovely pic LP. The sun behind  changing foliage is beautiful. The little bank of trees in the field along the road from me is lovely just now. Always enjoy the scenic view as I pass in the car each day. The wee calves in there add to  it too  :)
Nice bit of sun this morning for pix, even if it deteriorated into the wet stuff  by early afternoon. Not bad here again now. Mild too.
doc- that made me laugh out loud. What a twut  ;)
Glad you had a good day.
Hosta - that would just be the boak - not even the dry boak.  :# Hope hubby's charging her more as well.
Can't take any credit for the cakes AuntyR - older fairylet's efforts. :) What kind of cake have you got on the go?
Obs - the piping on them is quite simple - nozzle with a big star shape, and from memory when I've done it, it 'turns' easily. Then some sprinkly stuff over the top, or those edible flowers. Fartoo easy to eat though  ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Evening all.
7 of last  year's dumpy sacks of compost spread over " the new border" as I need the sacks for falling leaves/grass mowings.
The lack of rain has kept the ground hard enough to mow and Callum has brought lots of leaves down.
I'm going to clear what I can for the next 4 weeks then we're on holiday so the worms can have what's left.

Good for you @punkdoc . I always found the real top people were the most self effacing and gave all the credit to their team of staff.
    Absolutely agree @Allotment Boy tu

    hi5  Nicely done @punkdockneelkneelkneel

I also met the policeman Nick Bailey who was admitted with suspected poisoning. He was a really nice bloke, whose only concern was ensuring that his family didn't get pestered by the press.
The Army guys were fun too, they couldn't quite understand how, I had been to more conflict zones than them. They were off drinking in London, if I had been a bit less knackered I would have joined them.
Too long a day in my current state of health.

Sounds as tho you had a good time and met some good people apart from the toe-rag.   A good day then.

Dove, That’s good to know that Jules has another series. We haven’t  seen him for ages.

Punkdoc, that was a lovely outing for you. Makes you feel proud to get acknowledgement of your considerable efforts.

i think we’ve got rain coming today.

Interesting walk this morning. An example of seedling variation. I originally grew these Crab Apples from seeds collected from one tree at a friend’s place. Some of mine have dark green leaves, another greyish green, another purple. Now the flowers are ranging from deep pink to pale pink. 😳 I planted them in a row to make an avenue along our driveway. 🤬

Lilyp, gorgeous photo. Apologies if I haven’t acknowledged anyone. I haven’t read back over the last dozen or so pages. Must try today.
