@WonkyWomble the tomatoes are out of the tunnel, and some of the more tender stuff is in there already ( colocasia and new cannas) We had a frost on Sunday morning but it's forecast to be 21C today . We can't win eh? I'm furiously filling dumpy sacks with tree chippings/ mown leaves/grass to make masses of compost for the beds in Spring. I'm very excited about planting up my new border in Spring . @punkdoc Isn't it funny how you can live with something for such a long time then have a Eureka moment?
Morning Dove, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow 😊 must tidy house and garden today! Morning Pdoc, that sounds cosy! 😊 Hosta, love the sound of planning a new boarder! What sort of look are you going for? You will have to keep us up to date with progress reports and pictures! 😊
Hello everyone. We have rain! Just a smidge and earlier than forecast and they've no taken away the forecast thunder and downpours. Ho hum. Flipping biting flies have moved indoors and I'm itchy. Even bit OH for once.
Been out to France Rurale to get garlic to plant and decided to give some white onions a go too. Scented daffs, plugs of cauliflower and pointy cabbage, seeds for Spencer sweet peas to sow now and colourful nasturtiums and pale pink Niort onions in case I can't get pink Roscoff onion seeds. However, they can all wait a while and as it's wet for once I shall happily stay indoors and do patchwork homework.
Wonky - ignore the cold and enjoy your time in the garden. Hosta what are you planning for the border and does it include lots of bulbs? Pdoc - hope the new covers are good. Sounds cosy now.
Hope the weather calms down for the Scottish contingent. Sounds a bit too exciting with all those road problems.

Afternoon Obelixx, took your advice and ignored the cold! Been to the farm shop for chicken, and am now in the garden putting bulbs in any spare pots I can find. Pheasant eye narcissis and tulips done so far. I've got rid of the tomato plants and am having a general tidy. Hope everyone is having a good day.
I’ve had enough today, I’m going to bed and leaving Hubby to watch the fellow with the incomprehensible French accent and Cerish to keep judging the bake offs. Terrible viewing. night all.
Me too Obelixx, they were on my wish list last year and I treated myself, put them in a lovely blue and white China pot I've found in the shed. I've already got room for more Dove 😀 Just relining a planter for more daffs of all sorts by the kitchen window, or it will be if I can drag it that far, note to self, move into position first next time!
@WonkyWomble I think you may have missed the new border.
It's 50 m long and 3 m wide. I'm aiming to split lots of stuff in Spring and get a load of the Hostas out of the tunnel. Paler colours, grasses and hostas so I can have all the hot stuff in this bit.
