Dove - I do sensible in the sense of having clothing for different activities - gardening, dancing, shopping, schlepping, holidays..............
Oh I do that ... but not 'sensible' clothes ... not a plaid skirt and cardi ...  @WonkyWomble wouldn't recognise me ... can't think what came over me ... I must've been turning into my mother ... thankfully that process has been reversed ... phew!!!

I mean, it is possible for a plaid skirt and cardi to have style B)   ... but these didn't  :/

Not on me either.  Wrong shape.  Plaid and curves don't go and cardis fall off my shoulders though I do like them.

I only wear 'sensible' clothes. I am completely the wrong shape and temperament for fashion. Even I don't do tweed though. You must have been feeling really low, Dove.

I have only got one item of clothing in my cupboard that I've never worn - a white jumper. I never keep anything I wear clean for more than about 30 seconds. A white jumper? What on earth was I thinking?

I wore a white t-shirt yesterday.  Kept it clean all day thru coffee, lunch, sight-seeing, shopping.  Then I made linguini vongole for dinner.  3 splats.  Typical.  I probably need a bib.

It's not terribly elegant but I've been known to wear a pinny at table ... as OH says, it's better than him living with 'a lady of a certain age who wears her dinner on her bosom'

I remember my mum in a pinny!
I will never wear sensible clothes,  I dress like a teenager and I don’t care😀 I am a child of the ‘60’s and a recycled hippy.
my daughter often buys clothes for me, she always get young styles, no point in looking old as well as being it, so it’s jeggings, leggings, skinny jeans and tunic tops for me.
I have a couple of shoestring strap dresses for gardening in through the summer.  Not that I’m ever seen by anyone other the postman😀

The splats were just above pinny height Dove.  Bib or tuck a napkin in my neckline.   I get hot and bothered in tights and leggings are too much like tights for me.  Got hot and bothered wearing jeans yesterday.   Old shorts, trousers, baggy pants and t-shirts or strappy tops for gardening for me.

hey doc - how are you doing?
Good news - apparently, 'old people' have been following medical advice too rigidly and avoiding fatty, sugary foods to prevent them becoming obese. They're now becoming malnourished, so the advice is - eat cake. Hurray!  I shall go out and buy a bun later :D
I'm almost scared to say the smirr has gone off.....I might get some construction done outside befoer the plumber comes to fit the upstairs loo seat. It's all boxed in , so I don't want to tamper with it.
Obelixx - I know it wouldn't be the tiler's fault. It's nearly always the  project managing that's the problem. I was lucky with the builder who did my 'stension - he was very organised, and got the guys all there when they were meant to be. Couple of things weren't done as well as I would have liked, but considering I couldn't be there 24 hours a day, it wasn't too bad.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
