I decanted the first 5 gallons of this year's cider into demijohns yesterday to make room in the brewing bin for the next lot The Bramleys are next up and I will run out of steam and storage room before I run out of apples. It will be stronger than usual thanks to the good summer.
@diana 1 I must admit to total confusion ... why on earth would you be spending all that time, effort and money when you're moving? Although I'm sure it'll look lovely, it's unlikely to add to the financial value of your property and surely you'll need your money to get your new home just as you want it. Most buyers re-jig gardens to get them the way they want them, to put their own stamp on them. Few leave them as they are.

I've already made similar comments Dove but it seems one lot of viewers didn't like the fact that one side of the garden is overlooked so Diana wants to sort that out. Let's hope it helps sell the house and it's probably much more fun than housework.
Neigbours have been and gone. In fine form which is good as they had flu and pneumonia earlier in the year. Luc says there was a ground frost this morning but he does get up at 5am! I don't.
Snoozle next and then some pot moving to shelter my treasures from northerly winds.

Good luck Diana. Also good luck to Gardeners Boy at the show.
Son and family have gone. I've been making beds and cleaning bathrooms for daughter's family, 3 sons, who are coming tomorrow.
Chilly today, rained in the night. Think punkdoc has the right idea, curling up with a book. Have you a fire, punkdoc?
There are some nice things about winter, Hosta. It can be cosy and comfy indoors on a horrid day. I like going out for a walk and coming in for tea and scones or cake, not that it does your figure much good! But the walk helps. I like the feel of the heavier winter quilt, I sleep better with a bit more weight in the bedding.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
