It's a gorgeous sunny morning here ... if a bit on the chilly side.

Somehow we forgot to buy bread when we went to W'rose yesterday .... thankfully I've always got bread flour and yeast in the cupboard so a big lump of dough is proving as I type.   It's quicker and more economical to make it than to drive to the shop just for one thing.

Now I'm going to make salsa verde for our baked chicken supper this evening, then I'm heading into the studio for a bit ....

Some big dark clouds came over here and the wind got up, so I hung off doing washing, but it's brightened now so that's good.
Bet that bread is good Dove.  :)
Diana - you only need to level up the awkward bits so that the box is reasonably level. My garden is on a small slope, and althought there's some decent paving in the corner where I have my box, I still had to shove a bit of timber on top of the concrete blocks to  counteract the small slope and get it level. I'll try and take a pic to show you what I mean  :)

has anyone else lost their edit cog, it’s an essential bit of kit for me! Will have to preview now before posting
Is that because youre always saying naughty words, Lyn?  ;)
Could well be FG! As you get older you tend to say whatever you like and b*g*er the consequences 😀

Our anniversary today. We can’t imagine how we’ve survived 47 years together 😂😂

we havent decided what to have for tea tonight. None of the restaurants in town tempt us and the drive home afterwards becomes a feat of dodging kangaroos which we could do without. i might need to have a scramble in the freezer. 😛🤪

The Edit word at the bottom was a glitch which got cleared up some time ago.

Have you still not got a cog @Lyn?
I have the cog now, haven’t had the edit button for ages though. Thought it was an obsolete feature now.

    Morning all. Happy Anniversary Pat.

I had a big lie in today, which was unplanned and lovely but I’ll be out of whack for work getting up times for a few days now. I watched the Horizon programme about body clocks and the best advice I picked up was that you need to re-set your own body clock each day by having exposure to light in the morning. For people who are natural ‘Night owls’, and therefore their clock is set a bit later, you can bring yourself in line a bit by maximising morning and day light and minimising light (particularly blue light from tv and computer screens etc) in the evening. You can lessen jet-lag by using the same principle (depending on whether you’ve gone East or West).
Considering one of those daylight lamps for the coming Winter - anyone use one?

Right, off for some daylight in the garden - just starting to brighten up. Have a good day all.

    Lyn  :D
Diana - here is my box, with a close up of how the batten on the base  is sitting on another layer of timber on the blocks

Hope that's some help. I'm off out to play now. Have a good day folks

Thanks everyone for your good wishes for Bruce and I. He quite fancies your cake Flumpy.🤪 Lovely to see you Hazel.

Dinner was good. We’re just lounging in front of TV.  Saw a good program on Britain’s oldest bridges, Malcom X, another show about space stations and other space things, and so on. Won’t be long for bed.

Obelixx, it rained heavily on and off in unpredictable waves all day so haven’t explored the potential site of the lightning strike that was close by, but the lightning and thunder continued. All being well, i’ll be able to get out tomorrow and check things and see what the rain gauge shows.

Bread is out of the oven and cooling ... then I'll have a cheese sandwich for lunch ...
