I've just shone a torch outside and it's raining. Methinks it's the day to remove all the tomatoes from the tunnel, have a tidy up and get ready for moving in tender stuff.

Morning Hosta - glad you had a good night’s sleep.  I hate these dark mornings too 😦

Have a good holiday Lizzie - Italy via the Alps sounds wonderful.

Back from our long weekend in Norfolk.  Many old haunts visited (Hunstanton, Castle Rising, Docking, the Burnhams) and many new ones discovered (Wells, Holkham, Cromer).  Thought of Dove as we ate our fish and chips in Cromer, before bounding up the hill to visit the lighthouse.  Had a brilliant time 😀

    Back to work today 🙄

Yes Hosta, I was half asleep when I saw your photos. Sorry I forgot to comment. It was a lovely big one, but I understand why they wanted it removed. Has it been chipped yet?  Not trying to be a wet blanket, but did you know that Eucalypts produce an element which deters other plants growing below them (greedy for their own space). I’ll dig out one of my reference books and quote so that you can think about where you put the chips.

I didn't know that Pat, but I've used them to bulk up an area beside the polytunnel where I stand plants. In time it rots and sinks, so I've been topping it up. Lucky I had them dump it there.

Morning Pat - missed your posts earlier. Keep seeing pictures of the Floriade festival in Canberra - have you ever been ?

Hi Chicky. Yes we used to drag the kids along to Floriade every year 😏. But haven’t bothered for about 15 years now. I can only take so many Tulips  That’s not fair to the hard working gardeners who try to change it every year, but a trip to Canberra from where we are now, is a bit much.

    Morning you lot/afties Pat
Have a terrific holiday BL.  :)
Gorgeous pix chicky. Glad you had a lovely time. The beach huts are fab. You could have one of those in the garden Hosta - for changing in and out of your clothes. You'd be like Mark Williams' character on the Fast Show. 'This week, I will be mostly wearing - navy blue court shoes'   :D
    I've taken that too far...
I was wondering how much chip you'd get from that Eucalyptus. Interesting about the effect it has Pat.
Gey windy here - but it's dry. I will hopefully get the green roof done on the bird cage. Rain stopped play yesterday.
Up to take daughter to work. She's not been well so I've taken pity on her. I'll get my reward in heaven, as they say.
Did anyone watch the plastic programme? Incredible and horrifying.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
