@Fairygirl, @Obelixx, cycling 🚴♀️ holiday is amazing - such beautiful vineyards in their autumn clothes, gorgeous little villages, and great food (guilt free on account of the cycling - yesterday was 57 miles, a record for little old me). Thighs are bearing up, as are knees and shoulders. One more day tomorrow and we meet the Rhine. 230 miles all told.
It has been a lovely day here. With a lot of help from Moira, 20 Cannas have been dug up, foliage removed and placed in pots in the porch.
Good stuff doc. Helps when you have an assistant Your undergardener sounds less than impressive Obelixx Lovely photos chicky. Glad you're having such a good time. You can definitely have a few extra treats when you're doing that much exercise Great day to get on outside here too, until the smirr got a bit heavier later in the day. Some lovely little discoveries while I worked - a little spray of flowers on a white spirea, alongside it's red foliage, a few buds on Clematis Miss Bateman, harebells and primulas in flower. Red and maroon foliage on the oak leaf hydrangea in the back, while the one in the front still has flowers and greenery, with the neighbouring Actea in very late flower. Very pleasant.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Good morning all G’day Pat lové the murals @Busy-Lizzie ((hugs)) be careful with your back ... shopping trolleys are not very ergonomically designed ... try pulling them instead of pushing ... that’s better for my knees ... even better is when OH pushes it
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I think I’ve done it Dove. Not sure. We are getting warm weather. Prediction for next 6 days in the high 20s. Not my favourite time, but I’ve been planting seeds in small pots to get the veg garden started.
Good morning everyone. We have red skies! No nasty weather forecast tho, just a dizzy 12C maximum and cloudy bits. Maybe some rain on Tuesday but I won't get excited just yet. Heard it before and got none.
Our cattle farming neighbours are coming for apéro tomorrow so today is cleaning, garlic planting and a shop as there will be lots of nibbles needed. Need to get all my loo roll middles sorted out ready for sowing broad beans and sweet peas while I wait for a veggie bed to be cleared.
Busy - I hope your back is better today. I have a new crop of itchy bites. fed up now.
Great shots of Stonehenge on Beeb news this am. We have megaliths and dolmens round here but much smaller.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

We’ve got light rain now ... that’ll water in the broad beans I sowed the other day
