Sounds like you have a busy day @diana 1
Pat it is peaceful 99% of the time the beach is only accessible at low tide to the public and its off the main area so I only get the odd dog walker and naturist occasionally  :/

Hugs for Moira and hope she feels better soon.  As I understand it, symptoms can be relieved or reduced by reducing saturated fats in your diet.  You haven't been feeding her steak and chips and ice cream have you?

Tiler has finished.  Looks very smart.   Meanwhile I have sown the second ring on Possum's patchwork moon.  Looking good.   Now for the 3rd ring so it's a nice fat, full moon.

I've just been on the phone to talk talk. Our phone/internet was down last weekend, as I said, but the internet keeps dropping out so they've arranged someone to come tomorrow 8-1.
    Fingers crossed.

    @diana 1

All the threads have a star ... if you've bookmarked them it will be a solid star ... otherwise it's an outline.

I don't bother with the Mark all as Read option ... I like the little purple box that tells us there's been a new post on a thread since the last time I visited the thread ... once I've read it the purple box disappears ...   Mark all as Read means you lose the purple boxes, whether you've read the new posts or not which just confuses me.

Morning all. Another bright day here too.

@diana 1 - the star icon is to bookmark that thread. All threads have a hollow star and if you click, the star fills green and bookmark is active. If you tap the star on the top black ‘status’ bar, you will see a list of all your bookmarks. A quick link to all your bookmarked threads can be accessed via the green menu on right hand side of the main page (handy if you only want to catch up on your favourite threads etc). A purple box will alert you to number of new posts since you last looked.

In settings (cog on top black status bar) you can alter the notifications you receive etc too.

Edit: I see Dove has answered too 👍🏼

So how hard do our MPs actually work for us, their constituents?
I see our local MP declared £300K last year, down from £750K the year before.
Surely being an MP should be a "full time" job. If £77,000 a year isn't enough for them, don't stand for election. Seemples.

I think I might of solved the problem of cold wet feet in the garden during winter.
I find walking boots mean I get wet feet and have to change them to go into stream or pond, and I find with wellies I get cold feet, however many socks I wear.
A few weeks ago, I bought a pair of French fishing wellies, they have 3 separate layers, and from today's experience at least, are very warm and waterproof, plus very comfy.

@punkdoc I've been wearing these for almost 40 years ( not the same pair!! ) They , basically, transfer any sweat from your socks to the outside layer, so your feet stay dry. I buy wellies 3 sizes too big and wear them inside. I find if your wellies are a bit snug, you'll sweat more than if there's a bit more air in there.

Pa used to wear things like that inside his wellies @Hostafan1 ... he said they really helped.
