Still no real rain Fairy, but cold and misty moisture for the last couple of days. Before that we got 22 mm which was good.
Flumpy, Hubby’s abdomen seems ok. No complaints lately.

    Morning all .....enjoying a weekend lie-in 😳

wild and windy out there - was hoping to get out for a spin on the bike later 🚲 .....only a week to go til our holiday 🙌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻.  Also need to make the most of being home in the daylight to collect the last of our apples amd tomatoes.

sounds like fairylet is making good progress on the driving, and well done to Wonky’s stepson.  It really does open up options for them when they can drive themselves.

Sad there’s only one more GW to go - I’ve been really enjoying the hour long programmes 👍🏻

The brilliant friend who single handedly organises our weekend garden visiting trips away is hatching plans for visiting David Austin in June .......soooo excited 😜

    Oh Pat  :(
    Glad hubby's still making progress.
Just been out to empty the containers that are full of rain from the last couple of days, and check birdfeeders etc. Forgot I'd lifted a Ligularia for splitting last week, and put it in a trug which has no holes in it. It was slightly 'flooded', but it's got plenty of soil on the rootball. Just as well they like wet ground.  :D
I've lain it on it's side to avoid a repeat...  ;)
Hope Joyce isn't too waterlogged and weatherbeaten today. Coastal areas were hardest hit. Just 'normal' rain here for us at the moment.
You might be spun in  a different way if you go out on the bike chicky  :D
Fidget - just reading your comment re G'sW, which I haven't seen yet. I think it may be a common issue judging by the amount of queries we get on here about plant names. Surely it can't be difficult to put them at the bottom of the screen like they do on B'grove?
Talking of which - lovely garden visit on this week's prog [B'grove] for those who still haven't seen it.  :)

    Hi all.
Wet and windy here, don't think i will be doing much outside today.
Terrible nights sleep, not used to being in the house by myself, makes me realise what it must have been like for Moira, as throughout much of my time with her, I was away at least one night a week, and often for much longer periods.
Still have nightmares about learning to drive, especially the incident when out with Dad on a Sunday morning, I managed to drive into a petrol pump when exiting the filling station. The guy serving that morning, was in my year at school. You can imagine that took some living down.

Good morning.  Another torrid, itchy night despite lashings of cortisone based ointment and anti-histamines.   No idea what the beastie is but it did the same thing to me last October.  OH has one bite!

I didn't learn to drive till I was 30.  No need before we moved out to Harrow which had no bus or tube links to Greenford where we worked.   Possum was encouraged to learn asap but managed to put it off a year or two.   It gives her independence when she's here and also means we can go out for dinner in the evening and enjoy wine as she doesn't.   Congrats to all who pass their test at any age.

I don't think I could afford a visit to DA Chicky, or a nursery like Richard's.  Too tempting.    I hope Moira is enjoying herself Pdoc.   Good luck at the dentist for Flumpy's OH.  Hope your unwelcome visitor didn't stay too ong Pat.

Commiserations to all who have too much wind and rain.   Feel free to wish some of it our way or even to Oz and SA for pat and Glenys.  Today's rain forecast has been moved to tomorrow now and we all know tomorrow never comes.

Oh doc - hope you get a better night tonight.
Re the driving - I think my Dad took me out once - to do some parking, but I don't remember much about it. It came to my mind when out with daughter, that it's much harder to park between white lines when there's nothing parked there. Dad put a couple of cones out which made a difference. I suppose it was safer, and ultimately cheaper, than letting me park between cars  ;)
Daughter is better at reversing and turning than she is going forwards and turning. Not sure why!  :D
Hhog - I saw that some areas were to have weird high temps overnight. Very strange. It's about 11 here, and was similar overnight, and I think that'll be about the norm all day  :)
Obs - can you get the bites checked out at at the doc? Just to see if they know what's doing the biting?

Plenty of rain to spare here Obelixx but thankfully no wind today.
Many years ago a lot of people round here were getting bites from something unknown. It was recommended to have a scrub with carbolic soap and that stopped the itching.

    Harvest mites @Obelixx???

I have heard that vinegar on the skin can help relieve the itching ... or this says go to the pharmacy for a powder https://www.frenchentree.com/france-forum/topic/harvest-mites/
