Gorgeous murals. Thanks Steephill. Are they private walls or council owned?
There are some really good ones in Agde if anyone's ever down that end of France and Angoulême has some excellent cartoon murals and an international fair for cartoon art too.
Take it easy Pdoc - remember the tortoise and the hare. Can/will Moira help?
Didn't get my garlic done cos the leccies came back after a very short lunch break to finish off to leave teh space free fo the last push by the plumbers. It should all be finished today. Not sure I can coep with the excitement. It's only been 13 months minus one day since the masons came to break ground and lay the foundations for a 3m x 4m footprint simple shower room........

I am reading a book about Lagom - the Swedish ‘art’ of balanced living, and was taken with the idea of Fredagsmys which is a Friday evening ritual of having easy, comfort food, vegging out and being cosy with loved ones. I then read an article* today about preparing for the clocks going back etc and noticed a mention of Hugge (Danish cosiness) and the more unusual concept of the Finnish “kalsarikänni”, or “päntsdrunk”, which is all about drinking alone at home in your underwear!?!?
Lovely jubbly steephill. Nice of them to include one of you in yer kilt.... One glaring omission though - no golden eagle, unless he's hiding. Did ye no' bring yer crayons with ye, son, and have a wee go? I like the inclusion of the harebells - our Scottish bluebell. Some of mine are still flowering. They're a delight. It's certainly not the frozen north out there today - gorgeous. Even a glimpse or two of sun, and no wind. Thermometers are getting to 14 just now. I even had to take off a layer. Got some bulb planting done, and more rearranging of a border that I wasn't happy with. Go easy doc. Plenty of time for you to get them sorted, I reckon AuntyR - 'pantsdrunk'...have you been watching me through the windows? I like the Hugge thing. Been a lot about it recently. Obelixx - that's a hideous length of time. At least the end is in sight. I still haven't finished painting everywhere yet. Bedroom still to do, but I have little enthusiasm for it, and getting the arm up with any weight on it doesn't help.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Uh-Oh. may have tempted fate there. Leccies have been and finished and gone but no sign of plumbers who are either having a very good lunch or have got otherwise distracted. Can't go out and plant the garlic as the potager is the other end of the garden from where they get in and I can't move anywhere near as fast as Bonzo who would give them a "warm" welcome.
Don't suppose a daughter could help with your bedroom?

If I'm honest Obs, I can't be ar*ed with it! I expect I'll get it done over winter when it's wet and cold, and I won't be outdoors much. Don't think I'd trust the children. I'd be forever checking what they'd done, and finding it hard not to be critical Hope your plumbers appear soon. Hopeless twots aren't they? No wonder folk get scunnered. I'm off outside before those dark clouds drop anything my way...

Home from the coal face. I called a customer to confirm her whereabouts. When I got there , I realised I'd been there before,a long time ago. She recognised me too. As I went into the garden to take shopping to the door I said; " That fence wasn't here last time" "it's been there for over 2 1/2 years" " I remember you had a lovely big cardoon over in that corner" " Oh, you're very good" she said " There was indeed one over there" " I'm better at remembering gardens than addresses."

Great murals.
Lovely day here, so starting to dig up the Cannas. 20 of them, so big job when you are not feeling strong.

Off for MOT of my car now - catch you all later.
