Hello @Pat E  :) and good morning to everyone else as you all arrive  :)

We will have to make ourselves decent early this morning as someone is coming to fit our Smart Meter between 8 and 1 today ...

    That should be useful, Dove.

Good morning.  We were on parade early too - tiler coming to grout at 8am and turned up bang on time.  I need more coffee on mornings like this.

The sun has just poked his nose over the hedge across the road.  Blue skies all over so a chilly start but it'll warm up to about 21C later.   SM raid when the tiler's done and patchwork in between.  Homework for Monday.

Pat - there must be other ways to see Euro scenery without all those men in horrid shorts and shirts.  Good that you enjoy it tho.

Dove - hope the fitting goes smoothly.

Have just been watching a news report about the quantities of clothing bought each year in the UK and then just dumped.  Mad.

There are mixed views on them here Pat, but we’ll all have to have them eventually, so ...  :/

More coffee needed here too @Obelixx ...

At least I’m not responsible for the whole heap of discarded clothing ... just one skirt and cardi ...

And yours have gone to the charity shop, not landfill.  It seems London is really bad at recycling clothes.

We have someone coming next week to fit a new meter now that we have PV panels.  Not a smart metre as such but it will record any excess production that goes back to the grid.

I don't really see any of the cycling Pat, but it's certainly a good way of viewing the 'outdoor' [ ;) ] type of scenery. Did you get coverage of the Yorkshire bit of the Le Tour - last year or  year before?
Have you seen any of the Mountain series of programmes? There's been some excellent ones - with stunning photography. One series, which covered all sorts of people and wildlife, was called Mountain : Life at the Extreme, covering the Andes, Himalayas and Rockies. It was fabulous. The other one covered 4 big mountains for various reasons - Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro, Nevis and Everest. Can't recall it's name though. Brilliant programmes.
Hope you don't get the sky high bills some people have experienced Dove, with those meters. I heard a man got a bill for thirty grand - and they wouldn't listen to him that it was ludicrous. Not sure if/how it was resolved.  :/
Daughter managed some driving again last night and it went well. Dark by the time we got out as the man took over two hours to fit the toilet seat. Not his fault, and he had to get me a different one to avoid the difficulty of getting the whole loo out. Only charged for an hour's labour though, and I was able to take the other one back for a refund.
Chilly old day here, but dry, and shaping up nicely. Goldies are at the feeders 'giving it large' as the young people say.... ;)

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Morning all.
Feeling decidedly under the weather to day.  :'(
I had one of my "episodes" last night. Only about 5-10 mins and , like the early ones, stopped immediately with no residual pain.
Terrible sleepless night and now I feel very nauseous .It's taken me over an hour to actually get out of bed without feeling I'm going to throw up ( Soz if that's TMI )

Oh Hosta, that’s bad. Do you think it’s related to all the physical exercise you’ve been doing? Hope it doesn’t come again.
