I've telephoned them ('they' being the company sub-contracted by our power and gas supplier to fit the meter).

Apparently our appointment was cancelled by our supplier with no explanation ... 'they' are going to investigate and ring me back on Monday.

Not Scottish Power is it? Or Lowri Beck?

PITA Hosta.  Absolutely Dove - go get 'em.  Pat - we'll have seen that one already unless it's Oz Masterchef in which case we don't get it on mainstream TV.  Jay Rayner is good value.

SM raid done and OH's sandal mended while we shopped.  Brilliant.   27C out there at the mo.  I don't where the forecasters get their data from but they're not drawing the right conclusions.

Tiler has finished our shower room but, for some reason, we didn't have enough skirting tiles so I've ordered an extra pack and they'll come and do that when they arrive.  I just need to give it a wipe down with a wet cloth tomorrow.   Texts sent to plumber and leccy.   Nearly there..........touch wood.

Just had a call from MSF wondering whether I would like to go to Indonesia, they are very short of medics. Sadly I had to explain I was not well. Things sound really desperate out there.
Not sure I would have been that much use anyway, my thing is more trauma, and they really need basic GP type medicine.

doc - it's quite desperate out there, but possibly just as well you aren't fit to go? These poor souls.
I felt for them when they said the volcano had erupted the other day. Just when you think it couldn't get any worse....
Hosta - not sure if it's good or bad news for you then. :/
End is in sight Obs. Gets frustrating when it's all the little bits and bobs of snagging to do and you want it all finished. I've got to the point where I no longer care  :D
How r*ddy annoying Dove. Told you those meters were trouble  ;)
Been doing stuff outside, but a shower came on, so had to bring tools etc indoors. Will get back out soon. Lovely when the sun was out, but it's a bit more watery this afternoon. Bit cooler than where you are though Obs.  ;)

    Evening all.
@Fairygirl, yeah , I know, hey ho. Plenty worse off than me.
@punkdoc, don't you even think of any more jaunts. Your health, and Moira's sanity are much more a priority right now.
On a plus note, I got back from the Docs' to find, POOF, yet another load of chippings had been delivered.

Hello all. A mixed bag of news from you all.
I had another ridiculously busy day in work. In my team of four, we pass round the “💩magnet” badge and I seem to have it this week. Called in to SM on way home...large tiger loaf 28p. Best thing that’s happened all day! That will do for a Ploughman’s type supper and French toast for brekky/brunch tomorrow.

    Evening all.
Hosta - is that the first episode for quite a while? I suppose that's something isn't it?
To cheer you up - make sure you watch that Impossible Builds prog. The 2nd episode is fab - and the house itself is fantastic. I watched the Grand Designs one you mentioned. Agree with you re the glass, but it was still pretty impressive  :)
Lovely garden visit on Beechgrove this week, for those of you who watch it on the weekend.
Hope you get a bit of a rest AuntyR. Pass that s**t magnet badge to someone else.... ;)
