Hello.  I trust all those celebrating are still enjoying their day and everyne else's day has been good too.

I am crafted out.   All day session at patchwork group with apéro and nibbles then paella and wine and finally gooey entremets for pud with a glass of sweet fizz.  Celebrating the club's 30th birthday.   They also gave us the doings to make 2 different projects but wouldn't let me get out a machine so I have even more homework to do.  Then on to mosaic class which is very relaxing and completely differentball game.   Home to cook dinner at 9pm so a long day.

We have had 0.8mm of drizzle here today and none at al forecast for the next few days tho I can see form the radar map that Busy and DD have had quite a bit.   That leaves me harvesting potatoes and tomates, re-vamping the fornt door pots and researching rain dances toorrow unless I decide to do homework.

FG - glad you're pleased but I have never heard of Tom Odell.

Obelixx, I hope the flash floods were a bit away from you. Sad loss of ten lives.

I've only just heard about that Joyce.  It's way down south by Carcassonne in the Aude region so a long way from us.  The Vendée is half way up and over on the Atlantic coast.  It had serious floods in 2010 when storm Xynthia wrought havoc in La Faute-sur-Mer and killed 35.

I know I want some rain and wouldn't mind a good storm but I wouldn't wish that sort of devastation on anybody.

With a flash flood there's no time to take evasive action.
Maybe BL could send you some of her rain.

Hi everyone. Been feeling a bit down, but ok. 17th is 9th anniversary of daughter’s death, 20th our wedding anniversary (47), so a week of mixed emotions. Sorry to burden everyone.
best wishes to those with birthdays and anniversaries. I’ll read back later in the week.

Its not burdening Pat - if it helps to share, then we’re right here.

Just had croissants 🥐 for breakfast again (Mr C believes in family packs, even if said family is not currently around to help with the eating).

The “thing” that has been keeping me so busy at work is on today and tomorrow. Been up fielding random questions since 6am😳.  Nearly there 🎉🎉🎉

Absolutely no need to apologise Pat.
    Hope you're ok x
Morning chicky and  anyone else around. We need one more to click on the spam  :|
A family pack is absolutely the right thing. Mr chicky is just being thrifty.... ;)
Hope all is fine at work too. Stressful.
No time to get on here last night. Daughter did her driving, and fish supper was eaten, fairy cakes [of course] were supplied and a few were eaten. Only a few...
Grey and damp today after our lovely, if chilly,  day yesterday. Bird feeders will need a top up.
Obelixx - Mr Odell is brilliant. He's been around a while, and made some very enjoyable music. Great pianist.  :)
I'll have a quick look round here before I go to the salt mines. Have a good day everyone
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
