FG, I think a road tunnel is the only long term solution to the R and be T.
Oban rellies all stay up steep hills.
I don't usually watch Bake Off but they are such a lovely bunch of people that I've been hooked for this series. Not that keen on Pru though.

I think you're right Joyce - but whether they'll ever be able to finance it is another matter. I'm not sure how easy it would be to undertake because of the steepness and position of Beinn Luibhean, but I suppose that all has to be considered with any tunnel. Those 'catchy baskets' never look substantial enough to me either - and they've cost several arms and legs.  :/
More high winds and rain for the end of the week and weekend too.  :|

    Evening all.
I went to bed over 2 hours ago and I've given up trying to sleep.
@AuntyRach, the can opener was found and half a can (aint I good?) has gone.
Can't stand Pru either so I can't even begin to watch Bake Off.
I heard about those road blocks on radio traffic reports. Sounds pretty hideous up there.
Dare I mention 19C and wall to wall sunshine today?

Hi everyone. We had 22.5mm rain overnight. Amazing. There is even more predicted for the next 6 days.

Im glad you all like my Acacia.
Im off to my fortnightly shift at the gallery again this afternoon.

Fairy, funny you should mention the episode of Eat More for Less. The  night before I added lentils, was the one you mentioned, which stirred me to do it. I’ve had lentils in the cupboard for ages, so it was a good chance to use them. We both enjoyed the pies very much.

There is rainwater in the contour line in front of the house. Haven’t seen that for ages. 😀

Love the kangaroos casually posing in your garden Pat 😂. Lovely for you to finally get some rain ☔️

I’m loving bake off too - I agree that its a lovely bunch of contestants this year.

Spoke to littlest chicklet last night - she is genuinely scared by the latest incidents.  They are petitioning the Uni to start making patrols of the area.  Apparently thats what happens in Bristol and Manchester, and it has had good results.  🙄

Garden club talk tonight from Graham Gough (Marchants Hardy Plants, a brilliant nursery in Sussex).  Will leave the office on time tonight regardless, just might have to get stuck back into it later in the evening 😲.

Morning all/afties Pat - funny that you saw that episode re the lentils! Good though, wasn't it?   :)
I see there's been spam, spam, spam and chips for brekkie here again. I was a fifth flagger, so at least they've gone....or have they....
chicky - hope chicklet is ok. At least she has others around, and with her, and hopefully it'll  being taken seriously. Enjoy your talk later  :)
WInd and rain here have gone - for now. I'm even putting washing out today. More to come for most of the country in a couple of days though. Think Saturday's to be worse here than Friday. My hatches are fed up being battened  :D
Got to say - I do like Pru, and I didn't think I would. Big pair of shoes for her to step into. Think she's done admirably, and the whole show has a nicer feel to it.
Quick look round now - and then the washing to go out...have a good day everyone, weather and life permitting
