Talking of Trump, my daughter’s just back from a USA holiday, Trump had paid to have his star in the Walk of Fame, the people have dug it out!   She said there’s an old bit of carpet over it so people don’t trip.

Wish we could put an old bit of carpet over Trump (the bit on his head notwithstanding). It might make more coherent speeches.

Maybe we should set up the October Forkers thread early, with a single post saying "Dove, get thee to the pharmacy!"

Enrolled at college this morning. Commuting into town in rush hour again is going to be a bit of a shock to the system. Regents Park is stunning though; I'm going to enjoy being there very much, I think. Travelled in with Bow - was tickled by the fact that she was going to work and I was going to college

Hope your gd settles soon, LP. Will they stay where they are for a while now? And FG, hope you feel better today?

Chicky, definitely (and defiantly) wear sandals!

  • Hello folks I'm back .... tennis was fine ... although why do some folk (chaps in the main) not realise that playing on a small indoor court doesn't necessitate a Sam Groth-type serve shock  Grrrrr!  they spoil it for themselves and everyone else.

I've emptied W'rose and put it all away in our fridges/freezer and cupboards and had the last of the sweetcorn soup for lunch.

I can think of all sorts of things I'd like to put on top of Trump ... a nice soft piece of carpet isn't one of them twisted

I was thinking in terms of turning him into compost. Surely there must be *some* use for him? I'm sure my OH would happily contribute some recycled beer to the process on a regular basis...

Mind you, thinking about it, I'm pretty sure OH has explicitly said he wouldn't, even if he was on fire.

  • I don't trust anything that comes out of him, so planting anything in him is a No No in this garden ... even if he's been thoroughly composted with whatever additives came to hand ... although, on reflection, things that are rotten to the core rarely need help to decompose.
