Hi all. Love to see your pictures @Pat E, maybe I should not get so annoyed by the badgers in my garden. Council seem to be uninterested in granting us a TPO, but won't tell me why. Lovely and warm today, so may get some of my autumnal moving of plants done.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
No, Hosta, the shale doesn’t move very much, but my “high-falutin” idea of a zig zag pathway, only worked for the first half dozen years, then I couldn’t be bothered going up there. 🤭
Good morning - just. Been busy organising seasonal changes upstairs. We've gone from strappy tops to long sleeves with no short-sleeved t-shirts transition. Feather and down duvets are out for an airing before I make beds and the summer bedding has been stashed. It's warm enough in sheltered sun at the mo but there's a naughty breeze.
OH is having a fine time in the potager, tidying up all the pumpkin foliage. Looks like we've got a good harvest which will at least be decorative for a while but not sure how good they'll be to eat after months of drought. Not quite pumpkin soup or roast pumpkin weather yet.
Glad you've had some rain Pat and hope you get more. I'd quite like some too but not next week as we have friends coming to stay and want walks on the beach.
Well done Hosta.

Pat, you and the animals must be longing to see the ground greening up now. Hope you get some rain. It's very fine drizzle here so it will be probably be like that all day.
Obelixx, I like a gradual transition to warmer clothing and bedding. End of October, I hope, before taking the winter duvet out.
Thanks Punkdoc. I often wonder if I’m boring people with my photos, but take the risk anyway, and cross my fingers.
It’s interesting about neighbours. We have enough space that we can’t see those neighbours on either side, but one in particular is very inconsiderate with his livestock. He never repairs his fences, and my understanding is that you are responsible for keeping your animals IN, not for us to keep his animals OUT. For the last several weeks four of his sheep gave been wandering back and forth along the road and helping themselves to whatever property they go into. That also makes us nervous, as drivers, because we don’t want to hit them. I suspect he hadn’t got enough hay to feed them, so uses the road side for free grazing. Grrrr.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Love to see them, even if I don't always comment Please don't stop
In England at least you are responsible for keep your animals in (unless it's Common Land when different rules apply). Not keeping them in and safe from harm can result in prosecution.

One of the great joys of this site, is to see what other people put up with / enjoy. It is even better when those people live on the other side of the world.

Joyce - we're going from empty duvet cover and a patchwork quilt to 4.5 tog down duvet. When it gets cold we'll need the patchwork quilt too. Last winter we didn't need more and it was very cold for this region - low of -8C and some snow, shock horror.
Pat - yes please, keep the photos coming.

I meant to say on my previous post that although my friends Horse problem is solved but it's done nothing for the Rabbits & Moles. We only have Foxes Pigeons & squirrels to put up with. These problems pale into insignificance when I see some of the wildlife you have to deal with Pat. As Punkdoc says it's what keeps the site even more interesting.
