I’m just home from spending all day waiting for Hubby to be seen to in Emergency. It appears that he has ripped an abdominal muscle lifting something heavy onto a fire truck. 😡 No treatment; just watch and wait. At least he won’t be available for call out for at least a week.
Oh Pat ((hugs)). How horrid ... and difficult for you both ... but as you say at least he won’t be called out for a while ... I should think it ought to be longer than a week ... he’ll need to build up his strength again too before he starts doing strenuous stuff again ... Get well soon Mr Pat ((hugs))

Morning all, afternoon Pat, sorry to hear your oh is injured, like you say the Brightside is enforced rest! Glad you have had your eye looked at Lilyp, hope it improves quickly. Morning, Hosta, Joyce, Dove, Chicky and Pdoc and all. Hope folks haven't been to battered by the wind. I had a big tree down on the way home from work, drove up the path and went through the top twigs, buddleia at home lost some branches but it's due a prune do not so bad. Hope everyone has a good day 😊

I hope everyone had had a peaceful night and that there’s not been too much storm damage overnight.
All is quiet here.

Didn’t get the storm here - hope others are ok.
Glad you got your eye seen to LilyP - hopefully this next set of drops will do the trick.
We get the occasional little egret - they look strangely exotic perched in oak trees 😝
very sad that Autumnwatch is going to be in the US this year ......I suppose thats 4 hours less telly I have to find time to squeeze in.
Lots of wind and rain forecast here to day. Delivering should be, erm, interesting this morning.
interesting im sure, but that’s not what Autumnwatch is for ... its for explaining what’s going in around us, on our doorsteps etc
