Do they pay you the same for that [van depositing] ? I'd quite enjoy that  :D
Yeah, paid there and back. A couple of hours easy money.
I wonder if the Boss is looking forward to having me stuck with him in an enclosed space. :D

    An opportunity for ear-bending Hosta.

FG - we got up to 25C today so warmer than expected but it's cooler this evening than it's been for months.  Set to go up again as from Monday tho.   Been feeling crook myself for a few days but thought it was just a headache and nausea cos of the neck but no, stomach has ejected something it objected to and I feel a lot better.  Hope you're mended soon too.

I can't understand why a GP surgery wouldn't have access to nurses.   In Belgium, after my neck op, they sent one round every day to change the dressing and give me anti-coagulant injections.   Mad to have to contemplate such a round trip every time.

    Unpleasant Obelixx  :#
There's so many things floating around at this time of year too, so it's often hard to avoid them.
Most surgeries round here have nurses, as far as I'm aware. They do all sorts of jobs to save a doc doing them. Makes sense.

Enjoy your holiday Flumpy. Nice gesture from the manager on your anniversary.

Schools are back so bugs start spreading.  Lots of people round here have colds and sore  throats.
Glad FG and Obelixx are feeling better.

Dry all day but a cold wind. Spent most of the day in the garden and chap who helps was here for four hours. He was up a ladder giving the hydrangea petioralis a hard prune as it hasn't been done for a few years. Wrong time of year for it but needs must.

Going for an early night so just catching up whilst having my decaf cuppa...

Liriodendron - the Heritage Trail sounds exciting - fingers crossed for dry weather.
Obelixx - yes I have rolled my eyes at wheel tracking/balancing added ‘extra’ - it’s like ordering food and having to pay extra for the seasoning!?
Ooo Flumpy - hope you are enjoying, because it’s stopped being Summer here.
Fairy - hope you feeling better. I don’t know what’s worse - feeling sick or the shivers.
Dove, Hosta, Joyce and everyone else - Night-y-night x

ps. The GP only has one nurse so they ‘opted out’ of certain services - post op wounds being one. Unbelievable. (Still annoyed).
(Edit: probably because that service doesn’t generate any income, unlike doing blood pressure clinics etc).

My garden and I live in South Wales.
  • @Fairygirl yes I played tennis yesterday ... knee ached a bit afterwards but not bad ... it’s taking its time but at least it’s goingin the right direction.
Snuggling down now so night night everyone. Sweet dreams  :)

And a brght good mornng from me.😆 best wishes for a good night’s sleep.
took me ages to catch up on all your doings, so now I’ve forgotten most. Flumpy, lovely holiday by the sound of it. Obelixx and Fairy, best wishes for recovery. I’m not familiar with the Apple being discussed. Food delivery doesn’t happen here. I’ve been told they’ll meet you near the bridge about half way to town, but I can’t see how well that’d work.

That orchid looks a bit like one of our native orchids. I’ll put a photo on when I find it.

I could get used to these 21 c days,  but we’ve  been told that there will be snow down to 500 m and high polar winds from tomorrow. They didn’t say if it would be on the west side of the ranges or  the east. Whichever, the winds will be rotten no doubt. I assume that’ll finish off any fruit that was setting. It Looks as though it’ll be an inside day for us.

The Spirea and Forsythia are competing for attention in the garden.
