I made a chap's day this morning. He had a Victorian terraced house so I had to walk down the hall, past the sitting room , through the dining room and into his kitchen.

I'd done about 3 trips and I said to him " Can I just say , I'm loving the art you have in your house" he said " it's all my work, I'm a retired artist " His stuff was lovely.

We are having some serious rain here. Several local roads are flooded and our drive is a river.
Hopefully the stream might start to flow again, been no water in it for 2 months.

Still drizabone here, 25C this pm and no wind.

I have just got in from patchwork to find the living room floor cleared.  Been ironing?  No, dancing.  We have our first class of the season this evening and he's been trying to get his brain and feet in gear.

I did think that. Maybe he's " just lost his mojo"?
No water flowing into the lake. It's still about 18" too low.

Glad you didn't get too wet Hosta - even if you need some for your 'loch'  ;)
Nice to see inside other people's gaffs. Did you not make him an offer for any of his work  :)
Think we're to get your rain overnight doc. We've had plenty now, so you're all welcome to share it. Been quite nice today. Single figures again now, but it's to clear up tomorrow and looking reasonable for the weekend.
And did he [OH] succeed Obelixx?  ;)
Friday approaching again. Doesn't seem any time since Monday. Having the first week of October off, so will hopefully have some half decent weather to finish some outdoor jobs and maybe get some walking.
I've given up on the tomatoes ever ripening, but might get some cuttings done and put in the little greenhouse.
Off to watch No Offence in a minute or three. Anyone watching that?
    Catch you all tomorrow.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Sort of FG.  We began with 30 mins of jive which he'd rehearsed so we did very well and we've learned a new figure.   Then we had half an hour of tango which he'd also looked at but she decided to get the group to repeat sequences they learned 3 and 4 years ago.  We've been there just under 2 but tango's our fave and we understand its structure very well so picked it up quickly.  Just need some practice now.   Good to be dancing again.

I'll have some of your rain please.  Hope you get good weather for your week off.

Flying in to say good evening and goodnight.
Saw No Offence last week but decided to have a long bath tonight so will watch episode 2 on ‘catch up’ sometime over the rainy weekend.
Off to bed soon, may need to put headphones on and listen to a podcast, as it’s a noisy storm outside. Probably News Quiz then something quieter to fall asleep too, like a TED Talks or old episode of Infinite Monkey Cage.
    Sleep well all.

Mum just sort of stopped, about a year before she died. She stopped painting before that, but only put down her sketchbook when she lost hope, I think. Lost her mojo, as hosta put it.

Coming down in stair-rods out there now
