Good morning all lovely spring flowers Pat a lovely sunny morning here @Fairygirl I hope you’re feeling much better now. I think it’s time to pick the green tomatoes and bring them indoors to finish ripening ... it looks as if the weather is getting cooler now.

Morning all. Van delivered , nice chat with Store Manager on the way home and home now for a cuppa. I was hoping to cut the grass today, but it's been raining overnight so it's soaking wet. A bit of courgette cake might fire up my imagination.
Love the whattle and the spirea. Never have liked forsythia.
Flumpy - hope you enjoy your break. Lovely gesture that fizz. Joyce - plants don't read the books and not all are prima donnas so I'm sure your petiolaris will be fine. Dove - do you strap the knee, just in case?
FG - no schoolkids here and Possum hasn't started yet either when I left her so I have no idea where this bug has come from. Hope yours is cleared now. i'm feeling a bit wiped out so have only just got going. More painting today and then a rest in the sun.
Liri - good luck with your trail. A great thing to be doing.
Anyone heard from Clari? Not seen here here in a while. Assume DD is busy busy.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Oh dear Dove, that’s why I sow my seeds in February, my tomatoes have taken advantage of the lovely weather we’ve had and there are no green ones at all, our best weather is May/June, and the beginning of July, that’s why I have to get them going early.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Lots of green toms here too but I'm hoping they'll ripen in the next week or so as I don't need any chutney and there are limits to how many fried green tomatoes we can eat.

It felt like a casserole day (there's thick drizzle out there), so there's a pork and leek concoction in the oven, smelling good... our stomachs can't cope with a big evening meal so we always have "dinner" at lunchtime. Very "Northern"...
I've been scouring the Internet for alternative ways of getting to the Harrogate flower show tomorrow, because there's a rail strike. It looks as if I'll be taking up OH's kind offer of a lift, since he needs the car to get to his footy match in the afternoon (he'd normally use the train too). I believe in using public transport, and it's great if you can rely on it... which to be honest, you often can around here. The buses don't generally run very early or very late on a Saturday, though, so it's going to have to be a lift.
Lovely Spring flowers, Pat. We're definitely winding down into autumn here - I had the last few blueberries on my muesli this morning.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I'm not unhappy with those green toms @Lyn ... we've had loads and loads of tomatoes already from those plants ... they've been hugely productive ... best ever!!! Not at all bad for outside toms. We've been eating them fresh every day, plus cooking with them and the freezer is full of tomatoes and runner beans ... I've not made any pickles yet this year so tomato and courgette chutney is very likely ... plus I'll be making grape & rosemary jelly within the next few days
