This should help with ID for Cattle and Little Egrets   https://ww2.rspb.org.uk/community/wildlife/f/902/p/35983/239550.aspx  ... the most obvious difference is in the colour of the bill which is yellow for the CE and black for the LE  :)

A productive morning so far ...  a load of washing done and an ox cheek,  red wine and lots of soffritto veg have been prepped and softened and are now chuntering in the slow cooker ready to make my version of https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/beef-recipes/beef-cheek-rag/ for supper tonight with tagliatelle.

Now I have to do some weighing of courgettes, green tomatoes, onions and brown sugar and see whether I have enough of the latter to make chutney today, or whether it will be chutney tomorrow ..........

    But first I need a

    anyone joining me ...?

Thanks Dove, but no time.  I'm off to a machine patchwork class in a minnie.

Chicky - sneaky is good.   Pdoc - how's it going?  When will you get results?

Thanks Punkdoc. It’s obviously more uncomfortable than he has been willing to admit to me. Lots of sneaky groans when he changes position.😏

You know us men @Pat E, never complain.
Nothing much has changed @Obelixx, more is the pity. Back to see the specialist next week.

We have the same system in our local hospital, as you say Dove works really well.
Did you get chucked off the site HH? I see you’ve had to log in again, happens to me all the time. 😢

Oh Pat. I meant to say yesterday  - he's had such a lot on. Hope he's not too uncomfortable. It'll take a while to get right though. As the others are saying - at least he won't be getting called out for a bit.
You've changed a bit since the last pic I saw of you chicky.... :D
doc - hope the test results are positive when you  get them. It's a bit frustrating though - you just want an improvement or something positive don't you?
Hope you don't get a soaking AuntyR. Think we're getting more stuff tomorrow.
Wonks - glad you've not had too much damage.  I cut my buddleias down a good bit at this time of year - just to be ahead of the game  ;)
I wouldn't have wanted to be on the Tay bridge yesterday when they recorded the 102mph wind. It's quite calm and dry today thankfully.
Wonder if Hosta has his waterproofs on today.... :p
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I did don my Gore tex jacket for one  delivery ,but it's not been too bad.I was lucky to have most of the rainfall whilst driving rather than when delivering.
    @Pat E
My Hubby has just gone to the dentist so I'm having a cuppa and heading down to see what's happening at the  lakeside. Hopefully something will be running  into it. Fingers crossed.

It still feels damp here but the sun is trying to shine  :)

Courgette and green tomato chutney is simmering away on the hob ... 'someone' had moved my box of saved jars  :s .... 'someone' has tidied the garage and found them again  :D  having been reminded that I had put them on the area of shelving he had designated 'Kitchen Stuff'   ;)

I love the smells of chutney making ... and it doesn't half clear the sinuses too :dizzy:
