Evening all - struggling to remember what's been said  :/
I shoul dbe watering stuff, but I'm trying to watch some of the tennis instead  - young Mr Edmund playing well. I came in last night and thought I'd watch some, but the  rain came on there within about five minutes of me sitting down... :#
Hot here again, but thankfully more bearable this morning, and at the moment. I can hear Hosta laughing at me.... :D
LP's right - it's been very difficult for residents and other businesses near the art school. I don't think Glasgow City Council have covered themselves with glory - and that's putting it mildly. No change there though...
Have a lovely break Joyce. The weather's looking good for you.  :)
Good to 'see' you DD - if briefly! As the others have said - the plants will recover and get there. It's great  that you're so busy, even if it must seem hectic and neverending for you just now. It says it all really - you're obviously doing something right  ;)

Anyone want to join me in flagging liammitchell's post on this thread ... it contains a link to a site advocating activity that is illegal in the UK.

Evening all.   Doggies still doolally and behaving like puppies.   They are 11 and 8 or 9 respectively.    Pussies daft too.

We have just had a late dinner (I was busy gardening) with our first crop of Charlottes with lovely salty butter from Noirmoutier and our own courgettes roast with a beef tomato and garlic too.   Yum yum.  Organic chuck was good too.

I lost 2 kilos while OH was away so no more feasts like that!   Trouble is we have a lot of Charlottes to harvest?  Neighbours?

Haven't found the offensive post so assume it's been flagged.

It's lovely here but Possum thinks it's cold and has a sweatshirt on with shorts.  Daft.   I hope you get some more comfy weather for you FG and some rain for all those who need it.  I think I need a seep hose or 3 for our toms and spuds and sweetcorn.  Watering takes ages.

The spuds sound good Obelixx. I find it hard to eat well when I'm too hot, but today was much better. I did manage to force down another lemon drizzle fairy cake though...  :o
Been out watering too - I just tip a whole can of water onto plants - don't bother with the spout end! I don't really have drought tolerant plants, so some are suffering - they're more used to the opposite.  It's been very weird here.
Exercises to do and then feet up for me. Friday tomorrow - where has the week gone again....seems no time since last Friday.
Looking a bit cooler to walk this weekend. It's been so hot & dry here, they're even giving warnings to hillwalkers to make sure they have enough water with them,  as lochans and burns are dried up. Some long, high level routes could be dangerous if they have.  :/

Evening everyone. It is a lovely temperature outside this evening, but the bedroom is still like a furnace. Day off tomorrow so will probably catch up on a bit of tidying in the garden nice and early as there are a couple of scruffy areas due to some things going over and some taller stuff flopping. My Hydrangeas have responded well to having a few buckets of water yesterday and today - they had wilted terribly and looked like I felt after a day in work!

    Night gang.

I  keep the shutters down in the bedrooms to keep them cool and windows open for any breeze.  Works here.   Try drawing your curtains to keep the sun out.
